Very disappointed with our visit on Sunday pm.
My wife and I had a turkey roast , our small dog some chicken. The latter was stone cold- straight out of the fridge.
Our roasts were quite tasteless even with the gravy. The turkey tasted leathery - being heated-up, processed turkey not turkey as we know. The mash and veg didn’t have any flavour we could recognise. The roast potatoes were slightly better but overall a horrible meal. We didn’t expect gormet but this was just aweful. Aren’t proper chefs employed at the Golden Eagle?

09/04/2014 Visited this pub on the above date with my handicap friend . The staff where friendly. My friend wanted a rump steak which they didn't have . She settled for the gammon . Thought it was a bit mad to run out of steak . Then I asked for some vinegar for my friend , was told that they had run out of vinegar as well . Come on Mr Barras does none of your staff know how to use there brains ( 35p at the shop across the road would of tied the pub over until they had a delivery ) . Kind regards Kenny .

popped in with my girlfriend as we were coming back from a morning at the gym/pool for some hearty grub based on the banner outside offering a very cheap 2-for-1 deal..... when the food arrived it became obvious why it was so cheap. I know you shouldn't expect too much when the price is so low but had I gone to Morrison's and bought the ingredients for my chicken in 'italian' herb and tomato sauce I would have done it cheaper and to a much higher standard - it was out of the freezer, pre-prepared sub-school dinner standard dross..... 2/10 just because they get a point for it being speedily delivered (although microwaves help here I think) and the food was hot and the service friendly.... spend a little extra and go to Thornton Lodge or the Grill Room at The Venue instead...

Me and my husband have eaten at the golden eagle a few times while staying in fleetwood,and each time the food has been excellent,good value for money,also the service and the staff are always good even at busy times.
