We had a wonderful evening at Harpers recently celebrating Christmas with a group of friends. There was a wide choice of delicious dishes and the quality and standard of food was excellent. Atmosphere was just right and Eugenio and his team were very attentive and helpful. We shall certainly return in the near future.

Harpers is the best restaurant in manchester,we have been going there for years.you always get a warm welcome&are treated as friends. Eugino has kept up the tradition from Felix. Kenny always great, &the new chef is fab, nothing is to much trouble, they always will alter any food choices for you .The seabass is the best i have had anywhere ,love it .

harpers in ridgefield , Manchester city centre ;- my wife and i visited here last saturday (04 oct 08 ) and had a superb meal - it has recently had a major refurb and is even better than it was before . san miguel on draught is a welcome addition and i had one of the best steaks i have ever tasted . £65 for both us (3 courses incl drinks and coffee) was superb value for the quality of food - the staff were absolutely fantastic , helpful and very friendly .

Yes yes yes! It reminds me very much of the Ivy in London - which is all about making you feel at home - rather than being pretentious & posh.
The staff are attentive & professional. The food is generous & homely. If you are looking for somewhere to pose - then this is definitely not the place - but maybe that's why all the Manchester celebrities from MUFC, MCFC and Corrie - love to go in there & chill out!
Highly recommended

the best place to eat by far in the northwest in my opinion, great host great chef in john
Not Fedup
went here for a family meal to celebrate a birthday. not a place i would recommend at all.food very poor, chicken overcooked and dry, pasta overcooked and soggy , all round pretty tasteless. apparent jollity of waiters does not make up for poor quality food.

We had a family get-together at Harpers in October. I recommended it to the family because we had been for a meal for two a few months before. The atmosphere was buzzing, just perfect but not too noisy.
The food was outstanding. All 8 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals, wine and deserts. Absolutely gorgeous. Moreover the staff were friendly and genuine. It felt like we were amongst friends and all the restaurant seemed to be enjoying themselves. We had a great night and hope to plan another family get-together in the near future. I would definitely recommend it.

Avoid this one. Attended with my wife last weekend. The food was truly awful. There is little doubt that the produce used is the cheapest. The fillet steak was extremely tough, and the prawns were not fresh.
Although the restaurant claims to be Mediterranean, it is simply just Italian and very forgettable. The restaurant is dated and tired, and the staff typical of what you would expect in such an establishment: extremely false and superficial.

I have just visited Harpers for lunch with my boyfriend, and we had a fantastic meal. The lunch offer is 3 courses for £10, and the quality of the food was outstanding, just as I had remembered it from an evening meal I had there some time ago. There are 4 choices for each course, and the waiters are extremely attentive and very good fun.
I think this is the best lunchtime offer in the whole of Manchester.
