My husband and I are almost ready for booking for the 3rd time, we last went Valentines it was lovely again the food is consistently brill and the service is just as special.

Fantastic food, great service, ambience and atmosphere what more could you want on a Saturday night out. We four oldies who normally eat at the most two courses, just could not resist having the next and the next cos the one we were eating was soooo good. My little friend always leaves something on her plate, but not a morsel was left on her plate for the dog last night! The pianist (who also played the accordian) was a delight for me and he played my requested tune with no problem, even asked which instrument I would like it playing on! We will certainly be going again.

We went here for my mam and dads anniversary . It was booked at fairly late notice but I have to say the staff were brilliant .there was eleven in our party but this was not a problem all the starters came together as well as all the mains the food was of the highest standard.i would also like to congratulate the choir and the accordion player who made my mama night well done to all

We booked for dinner after not being able to get a table at a different regular haunt - and we are delighted that we did. Great atmosphere and lovely comfy surroundings. Fabulous food - all courses were outstanding. Service was top notch and we enjoyed the accordionist and pianist - what a nice change. We will definitely be back - also have seen the voucher on Radio Aire website so will use this if it still available - £12.50 for £25 off the menu - great value! We look forward to eating with you again soon.

We went to Il Migliore last evening for dinner and would recommend it to anyone!. We found the service very professional without encroaching on the enjoyment of our meal. The food was very well cooked and presented. Everything was fresh. The waiting staff were very attentive, so much so that my napkin was replaced before I'd even noticed I'd dropped it. The ambience/atmosphere and the decor of the restaurant was extremely welcoming. We were entertained by Cesare playing the accordion and the piano. It was very enjoyable and fitted in nicely with the atmosphere. We will definitely be going back with friends. Thank you Il Migliore for a lovely evening.

Discovered this place by accident at the tail-end of a walk one Sunday. We were hopeful it would provide a much-needed decent Italian restaurant for Horsforth, and decided to give it a try. Beautifully fitted out, good food, smiling service and very reasonable prices - will definitely be back!

Well after reading the above I must have gone to a different restaurant!! Myself and my husband went last weekend, really looking forward to it. On arriving it was like being on the set of Cocoon!!! Unless Saturday evening is for the over 60's club. The restaurant lacks atmosphere, the deco is really old fashioned inclusive if table cloths!!! So onto the food: Garlic mushrooms too salty, ordered a vegetarian pasta dish - lots of it so definitely quantity over quality (tomato sauce was like they had taken the tomato base from the pizza and slapped it onto of the pasta - not good. Husband orders chips when these came out they were clearly oven chips and some of them were not cooked through. Staff; generally food although Trevor I'm thinking was the manager looked like he'd been watching Tv upstairs and was called down last minute to help with the rush!!! Had on beige chinos and checked shirt - come on guys you really can do better than this - only one of the staff had full uniform on and he looked really smart. Overall a very disappointing experience.

Having visited Il Migliore recently I have to say our whole experience was simply awful, from mistakes being made with the starter (when it came it was wrong) and when it came it tasted awful, on top of that my main was also terrible and when we complained we were told it must just be our personal taste, as the chef and owner had tasted the dish and they thought nothing was wrong with it, I was not offered another main course either so I left hungry as the starter had been that bad I'd hardly eaten any of it. When the bill came we were very surprised to see nothing had been taken off, we asked why and were told the owner was not prepared to take anything off the bill, at which point I advised in that case we won't be back, we were both hugely disappointed by our meal.

Picky or what? The answer is yeas! That's me: very picky. You wouldn't want me in your food parlour unless you're as fussy about what goes down your throat as i am. To my mind the acid test is would i go there again? So when a friend implored me to take a look at Il Migliore, a new restaurant in Leeds, I thought okay, let's give it a try We went as a party and just occasionally miracles do happen. The evening meal was well worth the effort for each of us. Il Migliore is easier to find than the name suggests and is well signposted at Horsforth. Parking is secure and plentiful. The imposing building is over a hundred years old and has its own private seating area outside for smokers and those balmy summer days and evening drinks under the stars. We had booked a table for six and were met on arrival by the smiling proprietor chef: who informed us that food is sourced locally. We found out later that he has two decades of experience creating those delicious, mouth watering Italian dishes. A proud banner sign at the flower-filled entrance invites you in and the fashionable restaurant boasts a large conservatory to the rear. The thing i like about Italian food is that a meal is not something to be shovelled down after a boozy night out, but that it should be enjoyed as a celebration: a leisurely salute to the senses, and that is just what we got. The serving team were friendly and really enjoyed their work, in a pristine environment. During our visit a couple were celebrating with champagne, as an accomplished young pianist tumbled the keys of his white, baby grand piano. Splendid background music turned a luxurious meal into a concert night to remember. Whilst you can pop in for a relaxing drink or two from the well stocked bar, this is definitely a gourmet venue for the connoisseur, seeking an unforgettable experience. Starters were fresh and inviting and 'mains' were followed without undue delay. The sweets were perfection itself and left nothing to be desired. Yes we will go again, because Il Migliore lives up to it's name as being 'The Best!' Without exception we agreed it was worth a five star rating. But a word of warning: These high standards have to be maintained in order to keep your customers happy and your restaurant as busy as it was on our night out. I had garlic mushrooms for starters with Sea Bass poached in butter and fine roasted vegetables for my main course. My choice of sweet was almond and cream gateau. And because i was driving i stayed on soft drinks(nicely chilled of course)
