Since opening in 1993, the award-winning Indian Ocean in Ashton-under-Lyne has made its mark as one of the region's top Indian dining experiences. It's a modern, bright and spacious venue with a main restaurant that seats 120 and a private dining suite with space for up to 32 guests. It also has a bar and entertainment area with DJs at weekends, an al fresco dining terrace plus a full outside catering and takeaway service. The menu is extensive, and in addition to the standard Indian dishes offers a range of Kashmiri and Punjabi delicacies. The Indian Ocean has been a regular winner of the Best Indian Restaurant in the Northwest in the British Curry Awards and has featured in the Guinness Book of Records for the tallest stack of poppadoms and the most naan breads served in an hour.
