This used to be a fabulous place. Not now I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The food I ordered was poorly described on the new menu which is terrible. Who wants to eat a cold plate of onions!!! The staff treated me awfully the least they could of done was to take the cost of my inedible meal off the bill. Instead they were too interested in defending the new (rubbish) chef. We have been customers for years needless to say we won't be anymore.

My wife and I went early on Saturday evening for the Tapas. It was excellent! Two lots of three dishes were enjoyed thoroughly by both of us, washing it all down with a very good Shiraz for less than £20. Love the new decor and enjoying the new tapas!! Always a fave of ours!

Hadn’t been to Jack’s Bistro in St Annes for quite a while and what a transformation. Out with the rustic French and in with a sophisticated new look. The entrance has been remodelled and leads into a striking Laurent Perrier-branded bar. The restaurant area has been transformed too with clever use of slate and mood lighting. There’s more of a metro wine bar feel and they make the most of it with live music/entertainment every weekend until late. We were there for the monthly Adam & Eve revival night (which clubbers of a certain age will remember fondly) and had a great time as after 10pm the restaurant transformed into more of a bar/club complete with dancing. The menus have been given a makeover too with a new tapas selection meaning you now also have the freedom to mix, match and share dishes. Definitely worth a return visit if you haven’t been to Jack’s for a while.

Dined at Jacks the other day. Nothing is too much trouble for the manager. Beer (Peroni) and wine were very good. Food tip top as always. It was a bit quiet but to be expected this time of year.

Saw the 3 tapas for a tenner deal on here so popped down to try it out with the wife. We were very impressed with the quality and the quantity of the food we got. Firstly we sat outside on the terrace at the front of the restaurant which was lovely in the early evening sunshine. The house Sauvignon Blanc was very good and complimented the tapas well. I would order 3 at a time rather than going for 6 to begin with as the portions were larger than we had imagined but no complaints there! We will return to do this again but hope the menu changes regularly so we can try lots of different things.

Visited Jack's last Sunday night for a birthday celebration. The group varied in age from 16 months old to 92 years! But, there was something for everyone and everyone enjoyed the meal very much. There was a set menu available and the choices were very good so most people opted for this. The portions were good and the food was of a very high quality! If you haven't been you really should givve it a go and at £12 for 2 courses or £15 for three it is excellent value for the quality you are sure to receive.

Have eaten here again recently and tried the early diner menu this time. I am always wary about these set menus as the portions can be small and not sure if they are value for money. Not the case at Jack's!! Had a delicious three course meal which was of excellent quality and we all left full!! For a mid-week meal this menu is perfect, great value and of the normal ala carte quality, highly recommended!!

Went to Jack's for a family christmas party on friday night. There was a good atmosphere and the Irish band were very good. Everyone enjoyed, dancing and making merry into the night. The food I had was all tasty and well presented. A tuna starter was very tasty and the chicken with a mushroom papardelle main was good. Overall a great night was had and Keith and the gang delivered as always!!

Jack's has been a favourite for a long time now and we are so happy they are doing well! Now open for breakfast and the choice and quality of fayre is excellent as always, I would recommend the "eggs royale" personally but my wife has enjoyed the eggs benedict, full english, crumpets and croisants (not all at once!). In evening the standars is tip top as ever, I love the rib eye and the belly pork, so good I think we might go tonight!!

Anyone remember this place when it was K-FOG in the early eighties? Way ahead of its time serving Pacific Rim food out of San Francisco. Anyway, I digress. Jack’s it is now and has been for some time and I always enjoy my meals here. Plenty of choice in terms of food and wine and there always seem to be set menus/special offers if you want to watch the pennies. Not your standard fare either with a French/Med/North African thing going in which makes for a pleasant change. The only thing I don’t like is the telly that’s been added. No volume (thank the Lord) but not my cup of tea in a restaurant. But that’s a minor quibble. I would highly recommend Jack’s.
