Now this is not a recommendation,we ate at the place and it was terrible.What we couldn't understand is that people had recommended it and we couldn't understand why. The starter that we had was not fully warmed. The main course tasted like it was from Tesco and the restaurant seemed to be run by kids. We saw no sign of any obvious Italian staff in the place. On the plus side it must be said that the place was clean and although the staff were youngsters they were helpful polite and attentive. There were other people dining in the place (about 2 tables in all) and we wondered if these people dined there regularly. We on the other hand will not be returning as we wouldn't like to take a chance it might ruin our night. The meal on this occasion certainly did.

The restaurant has nice decor and spacious so you don't feel crowded in by people. Staff were excellent, very attentive, friendly and polite - excellent service.
A really good menu, seems these days I struggle to choose even a starter as restaurants over complicate, here had no such problem, a good selection of Italian dishes and to a very high standard. Also good selection of wines at reasonable prices.
Is in a nice location, had a window table with a view of the hills, also away from the high st so parking was easy.
A good dining experience and my new date who accompanied was impressed with my choice. Definitely recommend.

I absolutely love this restaurant!! you cannot argue with the price at all! and the food is excellent!! i think it is £11 for a 3 course dinner throughout the week which nobody can moan at!

La veranda is a special place. Excellent food and friendly service. We needed a truly Italian restaurant around here!!! The steaks and the ribs are fantastic. We will go again!!
