Booked a meal for eight for my sons 22nd birthday for 8pm on the 6th November. Arrived at 7.45pm, no one to great us, at8.15pm we asked when can we eat. Seated at 8.20pm and order taken at 8.30pm. First course served at 9pm which was warm and scallop dish served just two scallops. Main course arrived after 9.30pm and was tepid/cold. Complained and refused to pay for the meal. Staff said food was hot when it left the kitchen and no-one had ever complained before. Paid for the drinks and they even charged for the nibbles. Sent a complaint, had a response saying the hotel would contact within three business days. They did not. Overall poor service and over priced.

Booked this restaurant some months ago for a special occasion- what a let down! After an amazing start to the eve in Cloud 23 we thought we were in for a treat at podium (think they should rename - as the medal we would have awarded last night would certainly not be 1,2 or 3!!!! We did eventually get to raise our concerns with a Manager only when we were out of our seats heading for the door after being there 80mins and only having starters and constantly begging for wine, plates to be cleared. The waiter who took our order told us after pondering the menu that there were no sclalops - which 1 of us had chosen and then had to reselect and then went off to come back and ask us AGAIN how we liked our selected mains cooking!!!! Overall a terrible end to what was a great start! We ended up going to Rusholme for a curry where the service knocked spots of the Podium team!!!
