Hello, I think the Punjab is fantastic! The food was delicious! The service was excellent! Definitely would recommend it! You have to make a visit!

We visited the Punjab Tandoori on 27/01/2012 on the strength of the strong reviews we found in support of this place online, and none of the party of five left disappointed! This is a fantastic, restaurant despite the basic appearance from the street (admittedly the decor throughout is quite domestic)The staff however are friendly and helpful, serving drinks and poppadoms with tray within minutes of being seated. We started with the dhosas (£6 each), which are essentially the sort of pancakes you would serve up on pancake day, but without the lemon and sugar, and much crispier and more savoury. They were cooked to perfection and full of flavour. We shared 2 of these between 4 people, opting for the paneer and keema varieties. The keema was wonderfully fresh dressed with fresh coriander, and the paneer almost melted in the mouth. This was more than ample as a starter between 2 people. The party also ordered a seekh kebab, (2 kebabs served with typical side salad) which was slightly spicier than the norm, but nothing extraordinary. The restaurant serves many traditional punjab dishes, which you may not encounter in other curry establishments, so naturally we opted to try a few of these. They also offer the mainstream curries also, with the Tikka Massalla
Punjabi Boy In Manchester
I came to Manchester last year in September, and I've tried all restaurants that claim to be Indian cuisine based, this one place is what authentic Indian food is..!! they have been able to bring the actual taste of Indian food that i enjoyed all my life in spiceless northwest which is overtaken by worthless donners and stuffs that reflect not an ounce of what Indian people eat, apart from being so unhealthy. anyways, i have tried this place a couple of times, they have nice preparations, especially south indian dishes, i really wonder apart from them there in no other south Indian cuisine serving restaurant. the seating is comfortable, and you can spend some quality time here especially since they have liquor licence. Also they have Indian beer on draught, which to me, did not taste authentic, but all the same i cant negate it of its Indian correspondence. the owner is a fine gentleman and a connoisseur for food and personally takes interest in the preparations. staff is alright, not that delightful as the name is. still 5 star for food, 3 star for service, and 4 star for ambience. per head cost is £10 approx, in a group. A nice checkout and a dependable option for authentic Indian food.

Had dinner here on Saturday. Best 'curry' I've had in the North West. Just over £50 for four of us including beers. Food was fab. We're all veggie and there was so much veggie choice that, for a change, we found it difficult to choose! We had different starters and mains from each other, most of which we hadn't tried before. Staff were lovely. Would travel over from Liverpool especially.

Hi have been coming to this family run establishment for the last 10 years. The menu has changed a lot over the years but the quality of food and the service has remained the same. This is the only Rusholme joint who offer genuine Indian taste and the staff have been always very good and look after you well.
