Authentic Jamaican food & well priced, but no atmosphere & surly, intimidating staff which doesn't really want to make one return any time soon..:-(

Me and the wife went to reggae hut for the buffet on Sunday as she wasn't convinced that she would enjoy the food and so didn't want to spend too much on what she expected to be a disappointing meal. However the food was very good. Obviously with it being a buffet there were limits to the type of food that it was practical for them to put out but it was all tasty. The curry prawns were particularly good as was the fried chicken and brown stew chicken. What was lacking was the atmosphere, alright there was no one else in but the lack of Caribbean drinks and music was a severe disappointment. Where was the reggae or ska to set the mood ? And the red stripe or rums to give the feel of that laid back Caribbean vibe? Surely this venue should be pushing it's theme and individuality. we'd both said that we'd go back again because the food was good but i can't honestly say that i'd try a third time if there's no atmosphere on a friday or saturday night. Come on guys you can do this you just need to make Blackpool believe this is what they need rather than just serving good food indifferently.

At last! a decent Jamaican restaurant in Blackpool. I have been 4 times already and tried everything, cannot fault it and would definitely recommend it to anyone.
