The Fat Bull opened in Ashton-in-Makerfield in November 2013 on the site of what was formerly the Angel pub. Diners can expect quality British produce served in a contemporary setting. Steaks figure prominently on the menu along with grill options, sharing boards, seafood dishes, vegetarian choices and classics like Rump of lamb and Crispy roasted pork belly. The food offering is complemented by a good choice of wines, signature spirits and cocktails. Open for lunch Tuesday to Sunday and dinner seven days a week.

Half Price Steaks: All of our locally sourced, mature, British beef cuts are HALF PRICE between 5pm-8pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening and 5pm -7pm on Friday evening.
There is no compromise on size or quality and the offer is available on the 8oz Fillet, 10oz Ribeye, 8oz Sirloin, 12oz Rump and 8oz Flat Iron Steaks.

Fantastic no complaints. Cannot fault the place.

We wanted to like this place but after awful service, below average service and aggressive management we won't be returning. We also put a very fair review on trip advisor outlining the details of what would have made our visit more pleasant but the manager replied with an absolutely scathing, (and fabricated) response. Clearly they don't want any constructive comments and think it's ok to leave people all evening with no drinks and no food.
