How come it took us so long to find this restaurant!! Fantastic, will be going again and again!!

I just love the Old Bore, they are not perfect in every way but who or what is, but what someone created here is superb. Thanks to the better half of the ownership, Lisa we just love it (and the food is amazing but don't Scott)

Nice local food. Good menu. Interesting mix of foods and flavours, and definitely trying to promote good quality food. Sunday lunch a bit pricey -nice - but not exactly filling the plate. Only grip I have (and have been several times) is that the service is slow (almost backwards) and we have never managed to get a smile from the owners - if you dont mind good food sloped at you from an indifferent waiter - this is the place for you.

What a fantastic find...!! Found the Old Bore whilst searching the internet for good pub food... As we live in Manchester we normally head out to Cheshire for a nice gastro-pub but decided to give the Old Bore a go when we read the blurb on the net.... We were not disappointed, absolutely gorgeous food... if fact we visited first on Friday night & were back with friends on the Sunday!!! Exceptional, the food is as good as we've eaten in any of the leading restaurants in M/cr or London, great service & a fabulous relaxed atmosphere.

A Great Restaurant with, Great Food, Great Wine Choice & A Great Atmosphere. The Dessert menu is fabulous especially the Chocolate Brownie, probably the best tasting desert ever (As a former Chef of 10 years this had to be good). For people who love good food and wine, this has to be one of the best restaurants in West Yorkshire.

Dined here 2 weeks ago - very interesting menu - enjoyed a superb 3 courses each - fabulous cooking and presentation -great chef.Nice ambience but only let down was decidedly mediocre service considering it wasn't busy - but will definitely go again and take friends.

The food was fantastic, service was very poor. Pub on a whole brilliant and the food makes up for the awful service throughout the entire evening we visited the old bore. The biggest let down of the old bore was during our meal the lack of table service. Would still visit again for the amazing food.

I've been a few times now and can honestly say that the best meal I have ever eaten (sorry mum!!) was at the Old Bore. Well worth a visit.

We went on a Saturday evening in July. Very pleased with the service & food. However, we were in the far dining room (not the bar) and it was far too hot in there, the windows don't open and we felt uncomfortable for most of the evening which spoilt the occasion. The food was a little more expensive than we would normally pay for a night out but it was good and probably worth it.
