Fabulous Italian!!!!Excellent food, all half price which is even better. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, the staff are friendly, you are made to feel like a friend not a customer.Highly recommend.

Nine of us recently had a meal at Vesuvio in Blackpool. We were made to feel very welcome and enjoyed the meal very much indeed. It was my wife's birthday and the staff made it a most enjoyable event. We will definitely be going again.

Having eaten on several occasions at Vesuvio restaurant, I can quite honestly say that this is the best Italian on the Fylde Coast. The friendly atmosphere hits you as soon as you walk through the door and there is a very warm and cosy feeling about the place. The staff are always very friendly and the food is out of this world. The place is very well decorated and has that warm Italian feel to it. I would recommend that you try the melt in your mouth fillet steak. 10 out of 10 Vesuvio, keep it up, FANTASTIC, NEED I SAY MORE !!!!

On Monday 20th February we went to Vesuvio for a family meal to celebrate our mothers 70th birthday. We were a party of eleven, and the only people in the restaurant all night. We had a cake made for her which we took along. When the time came for the cake to be presented, the waiter just put it on the table with no candles, no music or anything. We said to the waiter are there no candles, and he brought one out, but the moment had gone. Most restaurants nowadays play birthday music, but nothing it was as if they couldn't be bothered. There was some of the party had meatballs and they said they were bland. This was a special occasion which was ruined.

We went for a meal at Vesuvio last night, we found that when the chef was cooking the restaurant got smoke filled and our eyes were stinging which was not nice at all. We all had prawn cocktails as starters and i must say they were very watery with not much sauce on them and far to much oil on the garnish. My main meal was ok however i had the 8oz steak which was very fatty, however the sauce was lovely. My partner had a pint of lager and the glass was dirty with all sort floating in it, im not sure when they clean their bar pipes but the lager smelt disgusting so my partner did not drink it. We told the waiter and he just said ohh i wont charge you for it, he didnt even smell the beer or look in the glass not good if some brings this sort of thing to a persons attention.

I recently went to vesuvio, and though you cannot fault the cleanliness and hospitality my pasta dish was terrible. I had pasta with garlic and prawns, it was totally inedible. The owner asked why I didn't like it so I told him the taste was lacking everything! the sauce had no 'punch' so he went on to say about sauces, veggies and meat.. load of nonsense.
The 'prawns' could not be found for ages and then when I did find one it was obviously a frozen one, I would have said more like tiny shrimp! And he didn't take the criticism well..although the garlic bread and my companions Lasagne was delightful..I would possibly revisit and try a different dish.

great food ,great price, great atmosphere, what more can you ask for. definitely dine in this restaurant when in Blackpool, it's so much better than any of the chain Italian restaurants. We had dinner on 2 nights whilst visiting family in Blackpool and will certainly go back again,
