Its our local pub round the corner from the office, and the food and beer has always been excellent, but just today found a cough sweet in my sandwich, shame as I will not be going back and I expect neither will any of my 30 colleagues. Gross.

I'm from the states, but I was a foreign exchange student at UCLAN a few years ago. I loved the curry at Wellies. The Thai curry and chicken rogan josh were the best that I ever had. The portions were so big, that I rarely finished a meal and always had to carry a box with me. The staff was always very friendly and the atmosphere at Wellies was very homey. Wellies is one of the best eating establishments that I've ever eaten.

Great little pub just outside Preston town centre (round the corner from Waterstones bookshop). Ideal for a break from shopping. The food is simple pub grub - but the portions are huge and they are tasty, and the staff are usually very friendly.
