Me and my wife are from witney in oxfordshire, when we visit plymouth we always go to the wet wok and find that the food is great and so are the staff, if you go to plymouth you must go to the wet wok its great, we recommend the restaurant to anyone, try it.

My first visit to Wet Wok and wont be rushing back... Enjoyed the waterside location and the views of the Sound. Food served very quickly after ordering, not a bad thing. We ate the £8.95 xmas (08) meal and I chose the ribs for my starter. This is the only Chinese restaurant where I have been to where the ribs are served in bite size pieces. What a novel ideal i thought - there was a catch however - the nasty fatty /unedible bits remained so I found myself discretely removing the really fatty/horrible bits from my mouth into my serviette. the bits of the ribs that were ok to eat were very tasty however. nice touch of being automatically given some sweet chilli sauce and sweet and sour sauce with your starters. The plates that the main course were brought out on were stone cold but the food was extremely hot. portion sizes average (i always wonder whether they automatically serve you less when you have the lunch time special price menu rather than the a la carte. The main course was fine but I had been left disappointed by my starter so had kind of decided before eating the main course that I wouldn't enjoy it although it was actually ok. Limited choice though on the £8.95 xmas menu - no crispy shredded beef for example. The £11.95 seemed overpriced for a lunch time menu and a tad confusing. Duck pancake option also pricey at over £3 per head Staff friendly enough but didnt feel as welcome as i have felt in other restaurants. No problem in allowing us to stay for ages after meal was finished and weren't at our table asking us if we wanted more drinks every 5 mins. Drinks ok although minor observation - would have preferred to have had my slimline tonic in a bottle so I could be 100% sure that I was being given what I had ordered rather than the drink already made up. perhaps me just being too fussy! Great location and lovely day today so lovely views. Its a bit out the way so would not be my preferred choice for an evening out as not keen on the expense of taxis and prefer to be close to other bars/pubs etc for pre/after meal drinks. toilets ok although one single toilet that i could see - not ideal if the restaurant is full..... or you are with a big party...

love it love it love it what more can i say!!! The food is excellent, the staff are friendly, the location is nice. we go about once a month and last time we arrived 1/2 hour late and they were really busy but still fitted us in and dint have a problem with it.

The best thing about this restaurant is the wonderful waterside location. If you can get a waterside table it is well worth it. If you can't get this, then Han's Oriental Cuisine or the Wah Tin have better food.

Rushed is an understatement for this place. Called to book, advised by lady our table would be 7pm until 9pm. Whilst eating staff linger and hide behind pillars in anticipation of you daring to put down chopsticks, after 5 mins your plate is taken away, whether you have finsihed or not... the restaurant was less than 25% full so not waiting for my seat, just rude staff. Oh and we were out of there by 9pm as we were told... Good food if you like fast food

The Wet Wok is the regular place I'll go for my dinner since I've moved to Plymouth. It is an amazing chinese restaurant, where you are always felt welcome. The staffs always friendly and helpful, the foods are excellent compared to the others and the view was...wow...amazing
