One of our regular visits for our weekly Friday nights out. Never failed to have a great meal yet. The steaks are tremendous even on offer nights. Nicer in summer but once inside the warm and cosy atmosphere makes the trip worth while. Check out the flowers outside during warmer times.

"They really are sailing at The Windmill. There may not be any sails on the building but there are plenty of sales inside as the Tavern is fast becoming one of the Fylde's top eateries. It hasn't always been this way as we have been regulars over many years now and have seen various ups and downs in that time. However, now under a new owner, a very 'hands on' Lee Ellis it is as good if not better than it ever has been. Forget about the many 2 for 1 and cheap carveries that are to be found in the area, pay that bit extra and have good, fresh wholesome 'home cooking'. A year or so back we became VIP members, by just filling in a form and now we receive information advising us of special offers and attractions and, a lovely touch, they have the date of our wedding anniversary (it must have asked for that info on the form) and this week we had an invitation to have our Anniversary dinner at the Windmill and with the invite came a free bottle of wine on the night! Apart from the excellent food that they serve, we love the ambience and the cosy atmosphere. The staff are most friendly and the 'locals' are always glad to have a word with you at the bar. The menus and the 'specials' board have plenty to offer and value for money is certainly what the team aim to give, and they succeed! Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

We booked a table for 12 after reading reviews on here, for my sisters birthday, we had been out to Blackpool for the day and got lost on the way!!We ended up an hour late and Matthew, the manager was lovely about it!They had even reserved us a corner for ourselves and decorated it with balloons!! The food was Fabulous, the staff courteous, and I love the fact that the Menu has a different turn on it that most eateries! (The Black pudding and Caviar starter was gorgeous! For the level of service and the quality/quantity of the food we expected the bill to come in at least 20% higher than it was! The set menu deal is amazing! A real Treasure of a place! Thanks! We live approx and hour from here but have already decided a trip back their in the very near future is on the cards!!:D 10/10!!!!

Eaten here a couple of times, and enjoyed the food on both occasions. Service is friendly and efficient enough, but chewing gum and waiting staff just don't go together.

We lunched here to-day, and were very pleasantly surprised. Not only was the menu different from the usual pub grub, but the whole experience was friendly and relaxed. The cooking was far above the average, and we really enjoyed our meal. Can't wait until we go again!

My wife and I visited here on Saturday 14th. February, and had an excellent meal. Being Valentine's night, it was very busy as you would expect, but we were not kept waiting too long. Starters were very reasonably priced around £3 - £5, (pleasant change from the upward trends towards £7/£8 I've noticed recently), I had a very different and tasty corned beef rosti with a poached egg finished with a mustard sauce, and my wife enjoyed a generous portion of garlic mushrooms. Mains were a nice rareish, good sized ribeye, and the fish of the day option. All accompanied by excellent home made chips, and a nice variety of vegetables. A very good selection of sensibly priced wines and attentive service made for a most enjoyable evening, and we will be back again very soon. The cost including a pre-dinner beer and glass of wine, no desserts but a bottle of Pinot Grigio - around £56.00, I'm happy with that nowadays especially when it's decent food. The only item on the menu that I couldn't reconcile, was an 8oz. fillet steak priced at £24.99!! Now I know it was Valentine's Night, but I really can't see how they could possibly justify a price like that in what is realistically, a Gastro pub at best, I'll be amazed if they sold any. Provided they don't get carried away with their pricing structure, I'm sure this place will soon establish itself as one of the Fylde's favourite eateries.

Had a fantastic meal a couple of months ago so returned for my wifes 50th birthday unfortunately the experience wasn't as enjoyable as the first visit. Service was slow and the meal portions were very small. I also found the food to be under cooked.

My wife and two friends recently enjoyed a superb meal and night out as a whole at the Windmill. Everything from the brilliant new decor, to the unbelievably friendly and efficient staff made for a truly unique night. This food is modern yet traditional with bags of flavour, truly the best dinning experience I've had a lot of years. We shall return . . . . soon hopefully.

Highly recommended: great food, some wonderful imported draft beers, good service and a wonderful building. The only negative was a distinct lack of Vegetarian options. Booking is advised as I foolishly turned up without doing so and therefore waited 20 minutes for a table. Thankfully it was worth the extra wait.

I visited the Windmill for the first time in three years what an outstanding change, the food was superb and the service first class I will certainly visit again.
