From the moment we walked in we knew we had made the right decision in booking The Bulls Head for Sunday lunch. A warm welcome with excellent service throughout Really added to the experience. But what about the food?? Tasty, down to earth, well cooked and really satisfying. My partner had been looking forward to the devilled kidneys since he saw them on the menu and he loved them. We had the roast beef, it was delicious and wonderfully tender. The cheese board was very generous with great quality biscuits and the sticky toffee pudding was gorgeous. We will be back!

Had a meal for 2 at the Bulls Head, the food was delicious, especially the Bulls Head egg and the rib eye steak was cooked to perfection. Desserts were really tasty too. Service was great and the price very reasonable. Highly recommended, will definitely be back.

Had a lovely meal at the Bulls Head. Food was excellent, service attentive and venue very pleasant. Highly recommend the cheese and onion pie and sticky toffee pudding - clean plates all round and will be returning in the very near future.

Terrible service. Saturday night and the so called grumpy manager served oir table of 2. Had to ask for cocktails Ask for main course to be ordered. Food was great. Toilets disgusting at 21.46.pm. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. WASTE OF MONEY AS OBVIOUSLT NO ONE GIVES A DAMN AS THEY ARE FULL. THE OWNERS NEED TO MANAGE THEIR RESTAURANT!!!!

Went on 4/11/18- unexpectedly gorgeous place given the outside . Food was gorgeous . Not bad priced . Drinks were pricey £6.50 for a house red, bit OTT. But food was exceptional . I had fillet steak . Bit salty but I didn’t mind . My son had pesto pasta which was lovely with good quality pasta . The waitress said they have live music at weekends which I’m sure would be fun . We will definitely go there again - it’s my new favourite local place !! I don’t understand the low sugar vine ratings ?? Staff were lovely & I loved the cucumber water given without asking .

Would just like to thank all the staff at the Duke of York for making Father's Day a lovely occasion for myself and my family. The food was great and the service spot on nothing was too much trouble. As you can imagine with a party of 17 there were a couple of hiccups but these were dealt with both promptly and professionally. We had such a lovely visit the girly's have booked to go back next weekend for an afternoon tea... can't wait.

Absolutely beautiful. One of the best Italians I have been to in a very long time. The staff are so welcoming and polite. The food is gorgeous. I would 100% recommend Mazzo's.

Everything about this place is right, very professional staff that you warm to instantly with a couple of faces from the past making you feel at home. This place ranks along with the best. A great experience that I will be trying again very soon.

Have been to this wonderful little restaurant tonight. The staff are absolutely lovely and nothing is to much to ask. Smiles all round and very friendly faces. The food is absolutely excellent. We have been to many famous restaurants in Manchester city centre and around the world and this is up there with the best. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Family friendly, a haven in a wilderness. This is something that Royton and the surrounding area has needed for a long time. A family restaurant with a family ethos. Can not recommend it enough.

Had a lovely time with the family at the Duke of York, fab food and customer service, not sure I agree with Paula as they were the best chips I've had in ages, proper home cooked chip can't beat them!!!

I visited the Duke of York recently and I have to say that given this is a small pub, it provided better quality than some of the top end restaurants in Manchester. The food was great- home cooked and the staff service was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Because we liked it so much we went to their special tapas night- the food was great, freshly cooked and great atmosphere- Recommend highly recommended, Beckie

I have just been to the duke of York with my three children for a birthday treat and I was very disappointed. We waited for a hour and twenty mins for our food so I went and asked how long it would be. We got our food soon after, all of our chips were burnt
