Waggon Inn – SaddleworthSimply brilliant and that is just the menu. Everything about this quaint little pub is fantastic from the friendly husband & wife team who own it to the spacious and very cosy bedrooms. Well worth visiting if you like beautiful scenery as a background to an enjoyable walk or ramble. And Holmfirth, where the BBC series, Last of the Summer Wine was made, is within easy reach.
Waggon Inn – SaddleworthI came down to your restaurant in Delph with my girlfriend on Monday. I just wanted to say thank you again for a great evening. The food was amazing, the restaurant is very nice to sit in, and our waitress was first class! - even the toilets are great! (love the auto taps) We will definitely be back soon to sample more of your menu.
Fresca – SaddleworthThe beer is very overpriced. The Black sheep was off, exchanged without fuss by polite barman. The greeter, (landlord?) was not at all welcoming. We did not eat.
Rams Head Inn – SaddleworthThis is the usual Anglo/Asian fare. It lacks passion, flavour and quality. The majority of it is just warmed up and every dish is swimming in ghee. Same old same old.
Shalimar The – SaddleworthWow! I've just enjoyed the most delicious sea bass ever! At Fresca, Saddleworth, the sea bass, with equally tasty tiger prawns, and served with a side dish of colourful fresh vegetables was a sheer delight. The Restaurant is modern, atmosphere buzzing and happy, and the staff are friendly but professional. And the Chef? What can I say? Fantastic!
Fresca – SaddleworthWow!! I've just enjoyed the most delicious sea bass ever! Fresca sea bass, served with tiger prawns that were equally fresh and tasty, served with a side dish of vegetables (because I didn't want potatoes - trying to cut the carbs, you know) was superb. The restaurant has a happy, buzzing atmosphere, friendly but professional staff, and obviously a fantastic chef! A "must-go-again"!
Fresca – SaddleworthHave been many times never disappointed, quality food thats always fresh, staff friendly & helpful, modern style inside sets it off fantastic although outside looks unusual but don't let it put you off well worth a visit

Rams Head Inn – SaddleworthWe went for a meal here after hearing great reviews from friends/associates. We went on a Friday evening in October 2009 and the table was booked for 9pm, we arrived at 8.55pm but were not seated until 9.30pm even though there were tables available. We quickly ordered our food and asked for some olives which didn't arrive, we asked for them again on 2 other occasions and they finally arrived after our starter. The starters were nice but nothing to get excited about. The waitress cleared our starter plates and we then waited 40 mins for the main courses to arrive. On arrival my husband cut into his monkfish which I can only describe as frozen and not cooked at all! We complied to the waitress who apologised and took it away to get another one, which took 20 mins to arrive. During this time I asked for my main course of Chicken Supreme to be kept warm, unfortunately they appeared to have kept it somwhere that would continue to cook it so when it reappeared with my husbands now overcooked Monkfish, it was overcooked and dry. There was little sauce with it and what there was appeared to be a very thin gravy and not a supreme sauce. We sent both dishes away untouched! We asked to speak to the manager who appeared sheepishly, we explained what had happened but received little response and no apology. She offered us complimentary coffee which we felt was an insult. We requested the bill which included one of the main courses which I could not believe, so I advised the manager that we would not be paying for either main course which she looked a little pained by. The bill returned minus the 2 main courses which we paid and then left the restaurant to go home and get a take-away! My husband and I eat out at various restaurants on a regular occasion but we can honestly say that in the 4 years we have been together this restaurant experience has certainly been the worst in terms of food and service!
Fresca – SaddleworthIf you are looking for the best way to spend a Friday night anywhere in the Saddleworth area, my wife and I highly recommend the Bulls Head, Delph. The Tapas is superb, the sangria will blow your socks off and the friendly environment is second to none. We go twice a month for a friday night blow out. Well recommended!
Bulls Head Inn – SaddleworthWe went to Clough Manor on Sunday for lunch. The food was excellent and the service the same. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The chef and owners should be very proud of Clough Manor and I will certainly recommend it to all my friends.
Clough Manor – SaddleworthMy family and I went to Clough Manor on Mother's Day and had a lovely meal. Service and food was excellent and all mothers even received a gift.
Clough Manor – SaddleworthVery cosy atmosphere with a superb cast iron stove to warm the cockles. Excellent choice of wines and ales Food choice is expansive and the produce offered was fresh and well presented. The kitchen staff are to be congratulated. Without doubt one of the premier dining establishments of Saddleworth.
Bulls Head Inn – SaddleworthAn excellent place to visit. Great food and ambience, friendly staff and no pressure to move off after eating. Family friendly too. Very helpful staff and accommodating when alterations to the tapas were requested. Will definitely visit again!
Bulls Head Inn – SaddleworthI have visited the Shalimar on several occasions and always enjoyed the food and the service.
