We went for a meal for our 35th wedding anniversary with our daughters. We were greeted by Tim and Theresa and given a lovely table. The food we had was beautifully cooked from an excellent choice of menu. The atmosphere was lovely, with diners obviously enjoying themselves. Definitely the highlight of our day.

We had a great meal at the Fat Loaf. We each made a different choice and all three meals were lovely. The atmosphere was relaxed and the service very good. The meal was not cheap but was good value.

Enjoyable Sunday lunch, with good food, and friendly attentive service. My only negative comment is there was no fish main course, so I chose Mushroom risotto, which I found a little uninspiring. Delicious prawn starter. Definitely good value for money and we will be back.

Food and wine were delicious, superb. Service was spot on. Atmosphere buzzy and warm. Staff friendly and professional. Booked for my husband’s birthday and we loved it. Highly recommend.

Our 3 rd visit, and again outstanding cooking. And very friendly and efficient service. The Fat Loaf is a hidden gem, and I am reluctant to share this secret with everybody, but the restaurant, chefs and serving staff deserve to be recognised. We will revisit soon, and our friend who joined us this last time also thought it was a great place. It was a bit quiet simply because we went on a freezing Thursday evening. Not many folk were out anywhere that night.

Wonderful meal for my wife's birthday. Excellent, well presented food and wide choice of wine at reasonable prices. A mix of classics, we had fillet steak, and slightly less obvious, scallops or shin beef taco for starters. Friendly, attentive service and nice convivial atmosphere. Think we'd forgotten just how good this place is. Hopefully be back before too long.

Went Saturday evening. Really busy but sorry to say the food was not great. We had gone a few months ago and really enjoyed it and were disappointed this time. I felt like I was in a fast food place. The service was ok but not a patch on how it once was. What a shame.

Food and service overall was brilliant and could not expect anymore! Small local business that provides exceptional service with no faults whatsoever. Manager(s) should be proud of the waiters/waitresses who are ready to help at any point.

Super lunch on Sunday 17 December. Josh excelled with goats' cheese rarebit with figs and walnuts; mussels, clams and cod risotto. Very well looked after by Theresa and Tim.

Had an excellent 3 course meal on Friday. The starters, beef taco and Thai salad were tasty and absolutely delicious. The mains, oxtail with mash and steak were cooked to perfection. As for the deserts well they were gorgeous. This is one of Sale’s best kept secrets. The ambience and atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, this is due to the professionalism of the staff . They have a great selection of drinks from wine to cocktails. I highly recommend this restaurant

First time visiting the Fat Loaf and I will definitely be back. The food was amazing and really lovely, friendly staff.
