Excellent meal and atmosphere; as always

What a delight! So lovely to have such a delicious place to eat so locally! Highly recommend. Staff very welcoming and pleasant. Menu offers something for everyone and all very tasty. Will definitely be back!

I cannot believe I havn't been here before. What a fantastic restaurant the atmosphere and the very friendly team. Food was top notch and deserts to die for. A great choice of beers and I had a gorgeous organic white. We most definitely will be returning.

Busy, bustling restaurant in the heart of the village. Food and drinks were great and priced appropriately for the area.

We’ve been to The Fat Loaf a few times but went last night with my family for a pre birthday meal. We decided to go there instead of Hale as the weather was terrible and we were glad we did! The food was gorgeous, really different to what you would expect for a local restaurant. So much so we so had three courses. Service was fantastic , and the cocktails were great! Brilliant value for money, we’ll be back soon.

Generous with bread portions and croquettes as there were 4 of us! Really lovely food and friendly waitstaff, bit of a wait but we were happy to wait for the delicious food. One of the dishes had chimichurri sauce which was much spicier than anticipated so a little warning would have been welcome, but overall was a great place to have dinner and definitely will be coming back.

Yet another wonderful meal with great service and atmosphere. We went for the scallops and lamb again. It was just as perfect as our last visit. See you soon!

As always, the food at the Fat Loaf, Ashton on Mersey was exceptional. The restaurant has a lively atmosphere and tastefully decorated. The staff are helpful with menus, friendly and cheerful. My daughter, husband and I had the hake which is my favourite and was delicious, cooked perfectly and tasty. My son had the lamb which he said was amazing! The wine - we had Shiraz - was excellent. Altogether a really enjoyable meal and we will keep coming! Thank you.

Third time I’ve been on a Saturday evening and the food is amazing. The meat is cooked to perfection and this is so important - yet some Greek restaurants don’t get this right. Such good value for money too. The staff are very friendly, courteous and attentive. Great variety of Greek dishes and huge portions. The whole dining experience is fabulous. Strongly recommend!

Had a fantastic family meal with the kids at The Fat Loaf. Food was excellent, staff were lovely, and can't leave a review without mentioning the music playlist, which was fab. Hadn't been for a long, long time, but we won't be leaving it so long next time!
