We had a meal for my daughters 18th birthday. With a table of 28, we had no complaints, everyone was happy and all of the food was delicious. The staff were very accommodating when it came to paying the bill separately. My daughter left a present behind too and the staff called to inform us we had left it, within half an hour of us leaving. Overall we had a great time, and would recommend. Thank you.
Ravelston House – EdinburghWent for lunch after not visiting for a while. Took advantage of the half price Wednesday deal. The food was ok (not anywhere as good as it was last time - fish was mainly greasy batter and the pastry in the steak pie was undercooked) but the choice was limited. I felt very sorry for the poor woman who was working the bar as she was alone and it was really busy. She had to start turning away customers because the kitchen was too busy. Ate in the bar because I had my dogs with me. Previously, I have always been made to feel very welcome with my pups but one woman (not the one serving me) was really rude about the fact one of them was sitting beside the table and not under it, telling me to get my dog out of her way. Overall, I was disappointed. As someone who used to visit often, I don’t plan on rushing back.
