we Took my aunt and uncle here for a meal when we were visiting, food was great all freshly cooked, can recommend the calamari, also eaten and enjoyed was tempura prawns, haggis fritters and spring rolls. the steak and ale pie was delicious, I asked for mash instead of chips. All enjoyed the cheesecake. The restaurant was bright and airy and the staff were helpful and cheerful, would definitely recommend.

The hotel room was spotless and really comfortable. The staff were so good especially Kirsty who was friendly and very professional. Thank you Ravelston for making our night so special .

Crumb – DumfriesMy partner and I went for a meal on Sunday, waited 40 minutes for the meal had a burger which was 3quarters cooked it tasted disgusting. Supported have salad which very poor and coleslaw which was disgusting. Loud music just about us had to ask twice for the bill so sorry we won't be going back.

I had Haggis Chicken - absolutely fab; a very generous portion for £16 and my wife and son had the GF penne fajita chicken which they enjoyed. Wine was excellent - we had the Merlot which was great. Service good. This was our first time in Crumb - we will return! Thanks to all.

Halloumi and garlic mushrooms to start, both delicious. French dip, beef short rib and chicken parma were all perfect. Portions are generous. Will find an excuse to return to Dumfries and Crumb again soon!
