Situated in Haddington, this is a very good restaurant with an extensive menu. Service is excellent the staff are very pleasant and the surroundings are pleasant. Quality of food is very good, particular good value is the buffet on Sundays.

brilliant, went back for a second time to try the banquet as recommended by the waiter. Cant get enough of this place. Just wish I didn't have to travel to the other side of the m8 to dine there. When are you opening in Edinburgh?

Balbirs Restaurant – Glasgow

A hidden Gem set in the wrong end of town, and unchanged in 30 years. You take your life in your hands getting here (A number of doss houses and cheap hotels surround the place) but inside the staff are great and the chef expert at the craft of tasty extra large portions served from the pot to the table in seconds. Try any of the sizzlers for a real taste bud experience. Over the 10 years we have been regulars here there have been puch up's, drive by shootings, lots of spilt wine, but always a great night to be had with Amin and his trusty bunch of helpers, not forgetting his Dad in the kithen. South Indian Chilli Ccicken & Tandori Mix are a couple of our choices, & you get to bring your own wine, beer, spirits etc. Nan bread is the size of a suitcase & takeaways are cheap, tasty and in mega proportions.

Thai lemongrass Glasgow is a delightful place to eat...food never disappoints, the service is smooth and the polite manner of the staff is refreshing to see. The food is typical Thai with the monkfish being a favourite in red curry. The authentic decor is also to be enjoyed. Choose a booth for added privacy and don't be afraid to ask for more prawn crackers! Staff remember you when you return which is an added pleasure.

My husband and I took my friend who was visiting from England. It was her first time to visit Scotland. Eating in the restaurant added to her very positive experience. The whole experience was helped by the warm welcome and excellent service from all the staff. I would highly recommend eating here and will return again myself. The menu was extensive and should appeal to all tastes.

Snooks is a great place to eat! Dont be put off by the exterior as it is not very pretty! the food is amazing! cooked exactly as you want and the service is impeccable! Quite pricey but you get what you pay for!! Remember and ask for a doggy bag if you cant finish your food!!

Ordered from lunch menu, while on 1 hour lunch break, after 25 mins starters were served then 45mins after ordering we were told they could not prepare any food as ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH were inspecting the kitchen. Unable to wait for the kitchen to be declared clean enough to cook in we asked to pay and were then charged £15 for some pakora as this was the "minimum charge for the lunch menu". I recommend this restaurant to anyone who is on a diet, enjoys terrible service and likes cold dining rooms.

Great evening meal at this place. Varied menu, we were a party of 6 and there was something for everyone. The kids chicken tenders were amazing, real chicken with fresh batter. Desserts reasonably priced and good size portions compared to lots of other places I have eaten.

My information is a few years out of date but when I ate there, the Ostrich with Bamboo shoots was sublime.

Have been to this restaurant on quite a few occasions now and although the food is excellent the waiters can be slightly fractious at times. Worth going to but avoid busy periods at the weekend as the noise levels and tense atmosphere is enough to give you rampant indigestion!

This place really is excellent. It has a very relaxed atmosphere and the staff are so kind. The food is delicious, I had the barbecue ribs for starter and satay beef for main and it was really tasty with a very good helping (perhaps too much, even!). I always make a point of making this place the first on my list when I'm nearby.

Pleasant meal at the Mailcoach. Staff pleasant and service good. Seems to have been re-decorated, very cosy, nice atmosphere. Much better than previous visit last year. Toilets very clean, always a plus. Would eat there again.

Good for fast-in and fast-out eating. Good location to reach city centre, though a bit small space inside.
