Comfortable and friendly establishment Table 8 was close to Air Conditioning and slightly cool but otherwise very enjoyable

Not impressed at all Been to the restaurant many times but it was not good at all . Service poor on drinks and food Food delayed then the wrong order . And to crown it all we were overcharged . Sorry won’t be back

Coming from France with 11 friends,we all booked into the hotel for one night and decided to eat at the hotel,I telephoned to book in advance and was told to send them by mail our order, which we did. To our surprise nothing had been taken into account, no table for us! A young waiter suggested setting up a table in a room just off the restaurant so we agreed, and the Chef if there was one found our pre booked menus, very slow to come, we ordered some Chardonnay, 1 bottle was chilled the others weren’t so we had to ask for Ice buckets! The food when it arrived was hardly up to standard, such a disappointment for all of my French friends in Stirling.

Lovely hotel. Very clean room. Excellent food. Great staff, but the highlight of the evening was the pianist/singer. He was fabulous!

Won’t be back. Had booked a table in lounge. Had to physically move the table as seat behind was too close so member of our party couldn’t get in. On bringing our meal to table waiter dropped one dinner. No mention to our table but two of us witnessed. Two dinners served while the other two waited. No explanation or apology. First two finished…still no explanation or apology.

Really impressed with the meal and service we had at the Cronies Bar and restaurant yesterday. There were five of us and the service couldn't have been better, the young women who served us were so friendly, so nice and accommodating. I really wanted a salad which wasn't on the menu and they asked the chef and I got a freshly made Chicken Caesar salad, which was a very generous plateful for a small plate, so many thanks to the chef. A friend got a chicken Mediterranean salad also not on the menu and similarly generous plateful. We weren't rushed and sat on having coffee after the meal. Friends who had soup and two had goujons were also very pleased with the food, well presented and very nice they said. We've been before because it's a convenient location but I would say the food has really improved. We'll be back, thanks to everyone who made our visit so enjoyable.

Terrific food, friendly staff, nice environment, we were there for a meal after the Stirling walking of the marches - we were a hungry bunch and were very happy with our lunch at the Golden Lion, and shall certainly be back!

My family and I had a most enjoyable Sunday lunch, a wee birthday celebration. The choice on the menu was excellent, staff friendly and accommodating and most importantly the food was delicious.

Nice atmosphere. Food was good. Service ok as our waitress did not smile and seemed a bit grumpy.

Excellent meal. The plate was full with plenty of meat and vegetables. The pie melted in the mouth- absolutely delicious. A reasonable price too. The dessert followed and was good too. The attention from the waiting staff was good as well. All in all a pleasant experience.

We had a lovely evening at Cronies Restaurant within The Golden Lion Hotel. The food and service were both excellent and the atmosphere was perfect. It was made extra special with having the pianist there playing beautiful songs to accompany our meal. I would highly recommend it.
