The Bull – ShrewsburyWonderful food! New management seem to be getting a hold of things. Will be returning to try the new menu!
The Bull – ShrewsburyWhen arriving no one was about, we waited and waited after about ten minutes eventually a girl came and told us we could sit at any table laid for two. The place was virtually empty, would of preferred to sit at a side table and not in the middle where the only two seaters were. No atmosphere, only two staff, one of them it was their first day. The food was good, portion size ok, and not bad value. Wine very expensive for a bottle of cheap Sauvignon. Seemed to be no management or landlord. I might return in a few years to see if they have better management and atmosphere.
The Bull – ShrewsburyWent to the bull on a Friday night 15th July as a party of 4 for the first back to this pub for several years. We were the only people eating there that night which I must say resulted in a bit of a strange atmosphere.but saying that the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very good. We all had starters which we all really enjoyed. 2 of us had vegetarian burgers and 2 of us had steaks. All of us enjoyed our meals and will go back. Would recommend the bull to go for a meal

The Bull – ShrewsburyYesterday had the Wake after my Mum’s funeral at The Bull at Rodington and the buffet they put on was fantastic! Proper beef and chicken sandwiches, not sliced packet meat, chips were delicious and kept being topped up, homemade scotch eggs plus lots more then delicious cakes. Thanks to the chef and all staff involved, everyone there was very impressed.
The Bull – ShrewsburyThe starters were really delicious. Disappointing with the main menu quality though. The bar next to the restaurant were very loud and we were seated right next to the doorway. Service staff were very attentive and friendly.
The Bull – ShrewsburyLovely food, great service.
The Bull – ShrewsburyBusy weekend at Wem Sweet Pea Show great to just chill out and let someone else do the cooking Sunday lunch is a real treat ! Friendly greeting as always Sadly you have not up dated the info on the present staff such a shame when they work so hard and you can't even be bothered to take new photos come out and do them soon before the summer ends
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyThis was our second visit to the Tilley Raven, having only recently discovered it. Again a lovely meal. Friendly staff, spacious restaurant, and plenty of outdoor seating. Will definitely be calling again, even though we live nearly 70 miles away, when we visit Wem we will be there.
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyWe were served by a young man called Freddie, he was so helpful and friendly, such a treat to see a smile. Are food was beautifully cooked, we had roast beef, so tender and the veg all well cooked. The pub itself was so clean too. I would definitely highly recommend the Bull, have been a few times and had very good food and service.
The Bull – ShrewsburyThis is the second time visiting the Tilley Raven when we stay away on holiday and I must say it was better than the first time. The food was excellent and the service was very good considering their was only one person running the bar, taking orders and bringing out the food. Great value for money would definitely recommend and come back again. My only criticism is that I would of liked some back ground music, but that's just my peronsal opinion.
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyVery enjoyable evening with great food and drinks at reasonable prices. Staff were quietly efficient ensuring we had everything we wanted.
The Tilley Raven – ShrewsburyWe had a lovely evening and Sunday roast at the Bull! I'm pleased I picked here, I was a lit worried after I had read so many mixed reviews and did in fact consider finding somewhere else last minute but I'm so glad I didn't. We were a party of four adults and two children and all of us enjoyed ourselves and cleared our plates. The service was great, I didn't catch the waitresses name but she was very friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious, hot, very tasty and good sized portions. The pub over all had a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. My only very minor criticism is that as we went later in the day (6pm on a Sunday) and they had run out of a couple of the menu options and also that even though it was a Sunday it would have been nice to have the option of the normal menu and not just the Sunday roasts. But that's only minor and didn't at all take away from our overall very enjoyable experience. We will be returning!
The Bull – ShrewsburyFood was good but menu was very limited and they were very short staffed . The manager said as soon as we went into the bar that he had only started 2 hours before and that there was only 2 chefs and 1 other member of staff waiting on the tables. The young man waiting on was very good and deserved a medal e felt quite sorry for him as there was also a70th bday party of approx 16 people . Very noisy .
The Bull – ShrewsburySadly this place has gone downhill since we last visited. We went on a Monday night at 7pm I have food intolerances and was thrilled when I arrived to find the waitress/manager had already gone through the menu and removed what I couldn’t eat. However, on closer inspection, there were still allergens present in the dish descriptions, with one supposedly ‘safe’ dish entirely based around an allergen When I ordered my burger, there was no mention of coleslaw on the menu. As I have a brassica and root veg intolerance, AND I had informed the pub in advance of these, I was really disappointed to find my plate had a big lump of coleslaw on it. The burger patty is no longer the nice thick patty but 2 thin bought-in patties. It also took an hour for our meals to be brought out when we were the only table left in the place. While we would loved to have ordered puddings (the chocolate tart and sorbet is my favourite here), we were only asked about ordering a desert at 20:45. The waitress was very attentive when we turned up, but as soon as our mains had been served, we were completely forgotten about. The waitress did apologise but by this point we were done It’s an absolute shame as I loved the Tilly. The food an atmosphere used to be amazing. I just feel so sad that it’s no longer a safe place for me to eat so won’t be returning
