We’ve been many times for lunch and have always enjoyed it , however my self and my husband both opted for mince and dumplings yesterday and we were both disappointed. The dumpling was dry and hard and had obviously been warmed up in the microwave . Really not great. Very disappointed. Service was great , the girls are lovely and very efficient.

The food was perfect and as always the atmosphere relaxing. Thank you to everyone on the floor service and behind the scenes in the kitchen. As always, we will be back!!

We came on Friday as a party of 4 for steak night, and ended up as 6 as we met my cousin and her friend in there! As always, the food was delicious, the service great — all the staff are brilliant, but Claire goes above and beyond… there’s always a good laugh to be had with her!

Seafood chowder, haggis,neeps and patties followed by crannachan - traditional food delivered perfectly - we have already booked a return visit!

The evening started off with the haggis being piped in the traditional Scottish way. During the evening this happened twice. It was a great touch of authenticity. Great evening. Only managed two of the 3 courses.

Harbour Lights – South ShieldsVisited here for the first time for food and a drink and we must say we were very happy if not bursting at the seams! I had the Korean pork starter and then the chicken Parma with hot n spicy topping. The Pork starter was absolutely delicious as was my main course but it was impossible to eat everything on the plate and definitely no room for a dessert. My wife had the potato skins starter, cooked to perfection and crispy with soft middles, then the smoked Haddock which was absolutely gorgeous. Cannot complain whatsoever about the food and the girls serving were brilliant. Always checking on us and swift service. We’ve found a gem and will be back again.

When it arrived, it was the best piece of cod that I’ve ever seen in a restaurant. It was delicious. So big that I couldn’t eat the chips. My wife had mince and dumplings, which she throughly enjoyed
