Great food, great drinks, great music and insane value for money. Portion sizes were more than enough and the staff were very accomdating and friendly. Whether you're vegan or not, you need to go here. I'm coming back soon for the wing challenge!

Easy to book, great place and atmosphere, first time trying a vegan restaurant and food was lovely, the waitress was super friendly and made us feel welcome, great food, great beer, will definitely be going again!

Such a quirky unquie place, love the decor style and American signage. Food was served very warm in temperature, lots of different types of cocktails and beer selection to choose from. They even have a PS1 at the bar. I'll be definitely retuning, I have been here twice now. The warm honey chips were different but lush! I had the fake KFC mushroom burger which was so big I couldn't eat it without cutting it in half. LOVE THE MUSIC playing in the background.

My family are regulars here, food always great and as for the staff they always go above and beyond! Two of us are coeliacs so the gluten free options are amazing.we would definitely recommend to anyone and we do!

It was our first time here at grumpys. We don’t live in the area so when we visit Southend we always find somewhere to eat before we head home We enjoyed it very much, it was different from othe usual places we go. The staff were lovely and served us quickly. The burgers were great will definitely go back next time we visit Southend.

We are moving up north so booked a last minute lunch with my son and daughter in law yesterday. The service was fast, server very friendly. The food was great. Everyone happy with their choices. I wish we had time to go again but moving in a couple of days

We made our first visit to Stoked this weekend and it definitely won’t be our last. The lure of the hard-to-find US beer was the catalyst for our visit but oh boy the food was so good! We shared a BBQ plate and some loaded chips. I don’t know what they’ve sprinkled on it all but it’s irresistible. Great atmosphere and lovely owners and staff. Thanks!

Absolutely blown away by this restaurant! I came with my partner as we're both trying out the vegan lifestyle and we were both incredibly pleased. The restaurant is small but cosy and quirky, with board games available to play. The food is delicious, and the corn on the cob is hands down the best I've ever had in my life! My partner does not like sweetcorn and usually treats it like arsenic but he actually gave it a try and loved it! The flavours are incredible! The drinks are also delicious and serve some of the best cocktails I've tasted too. The staff are chatty and friendly and the whole experience and atmosphere in general was excellent. Cannot recommend enough and I will most definitely be going again!

Excellent service, excellent menu and lots of gluten free options which was fabulous for me as this is always a struggle when I go out. Staff were very pleasant and very sufficient, would highly recommend to others.

This is fab American diner restaurant. The food and service are great and the music gives it a great atmosphere. The Ribs and Burgers are tasty and reasonably priced. Our nieces love the milkshakes too.

I’m a repeat visitor to Grumpy’s - I love the warm welcome and their extensive GF menu. The food is always fresh and delicious!

Lovely lunch. Service great. Food was hot, fresh and tasty, service quick, helpful and friendly. Would recommend wholeheartedly to anyone, vegan or otherwise. Definitely book though because it's tiny. Best vegan meal out for years.

Vegan Food is METALLLLLZ! Took a trip to Stoked over the weekend , I’ve seen them popping up over my Insta for the last couple of months and when I saw they were hosting a metal night it was a no brainier! We were greeted by a treasure trove of quirky memorabilia , the smell of woodsmoke , candle lit tables and rockin friendly staff .. not to mention badass tunes. We went for : Limited Edition Ghost Wings - made from oyster mushrooms coated in the crispiest batter and a hellishly hot sauce , these were SO good , I couldn’t stop ,even though I was seeing double! Hattie B’s Fried “Chicken” - the texture on these buttermilk Seitan tenders was phenomenal and I don’t know what wizard created the Sweet Nashville Hot Oil but it was amazing , crispy Cajun fries and pickles. Mac & Cheese - no explanation needed , Creamy and delicious , not to mention the crispy topping! Also an honourable mention the the themed cocktail list (there were tonnes more cocktails too) and selection of beers including masses of USA rarities. Can’t wait to try some of the other offerings including the new pizzas and someone said “steak” night with Tiramisu! Don’t threaten me with a good time .. Thankyou team Stoked see you very soon!
