Excellent food and service - special mention for Vincent

Food excellent, no complaints there. However booked in advance but table not prepared, served tomato juice that was off and returned it, told no bottled water available, but charged for both items on the bill. Maybe down to current staff shortage situation to be positive, but basically was inefficient. Minor complaints and we'll still be going regularly.

Ate at Fifty Four on a Sunday evening with family who were visiting from Newcastle. Although I've lived in the area for a long time, I had never eaten here and I was very pleasantly surprised. Good choice of tapas with a few things a little bit different from what you see elsewhere. Good size for sharing, so don't need too many. Nice that there's also Pasta and burgers etc for those that don't fancy sharing the tapas dishes (like awkward pre-teens). Good, friendly staff, excellent service and tasty food. What more can you ask for? I'll be visiting again.

Wonderful food . Very happy to find this restaurant. It was recommended on trip advisor . Happy we made the effort to go . Tapas dishes just excellent. Especially the brisket dish . Staff very friendly and you are looked after well . Can also sit outside if it’s not raining . We are planning to go again .

We stayed for 4 nights and the hotel was lovely. Dined in the restaurant and the food was top notch. Felt that they did not have enough staff for clearing the plates etc. I would definitely visit again. Thank you for a wonderful time.

When we arrived there was a wedding taking place. Very loud. I had my elderly parents with me and was unsettled as i had booked on line. But was directed to dinning room which was pleasant but no staff in sight. Another table of people sat in restaurant. Luckily a waiter soon arrived and was lovely. Took our order. Drink and then food arrived after not too long. All good. Staff helpful and attentive there on . Meals good. They also sorted a taxi. So all went well.

A good selection of tasty dishes. Enjoyed our evening.

Fabulous food, reasonably priced, nice atmosphere & decor, good service

The food was delicious, but the service wasn’t the best it could have been. We had empty cups and glasses on our table for the whole of our meal and we had little room on the table.

We booked a table for 8pm and it said you have the table for 2 hours, however throughout our visit we felt rushed. At 9pm when we had just finished our delicious main course we were asked if we wanted coffee before he turned the machine off! We felt nervous ordering a dessert as it was clear they wanted to go home. We left at 9.30 , as soon as we had finished it. Such a shame as the food was fabulous .

Really good friendly service and hot, well presented food. Will definitely be back.

I booked lunch at Coast for myself and two friends. We sat at the window table which was lovely. The service and the food were excellent and all covid procedures were followed, making us all feel very safe. Would definitely recommend
