I have patronised the Royal Bangkok for over 20 years. Excellent tasty food. Other Thai I try don’t compare. Don’t be put off by the premises. This is a hidden gem.

Royal Bangkok Thai Restaurant – StaffordJust spent a weekend at the Moat House and have to say the food was excellent. Beautifully cooked and presented and well deserving of its two AA rosettes. Good wine list too. If you can, snag a table looking out onto the Staffordshire & Worcestershire Canal.
Moat House – StaffordFound this pub at the end of a long walk through Cannock Chase and along the Trent & Mersey Canal. It’s not far from Rugeley. We ate outside and although a bit noisy from the road junction it’s a pleasant enough spot with the River Trent running nearby. Food was good and a nice selection of wines too. Service a bit curt.
Wolseley Arms – StaffordNot happy with the salad I ordered. It was ham and pineapple, the salad was satisfactory but the ham was terrible it was the cheapest thin cut ham . I can buy the same looking ham very cheap in the super market. I would have expected home cooked ham for the price charged. Can you not serve better ham? Would appreciate your reply to this complaint I know I should have complained at lunch time when we were there but as I was being taken out it would have embarrassed the person paying for me. Chetwynd Arms – StaffordMy wife and I came across this bistro by accident ,on a Sunday lunch time. We were very warmly welcomed by staff and locals. The food was very good, not the usual canteen type ,served in so many places , the food and service providing first class value., we would, and will recommend it and be returning.
Bistro Le Coq – StaffordBooked a table for two for Sunday Lunch today. Arrived at the beautifully presented restaurant, shown into the bar for drinks. Ordered spinach/mushroom tart and calamari for starters and roast lamb for main course. Crepe with Kirsch and cherries for pudding. All excellent will certainly go again. Lovely!
Bistro Le Coq – StaffordPurchased a "We Love Local" voucher for a meal at this restaurant. Comprising - Starter, Main course and Glass of Wine for two people. We live over 1 hour away so decided to make a day of it with a visit to the RAF Museum at Cosford then travel up to Stowe-by-Chartley. We were not disappointed. We were warmly welcomed and had a pre-dinner drink. The food was excellent, the wine good and we ordered desserts and coffee as well. Will put ourselves out again for this excellent restaurant.
Bistro Le Coq – StaffordBella Italia is our favourite restaurant, me and my partner have been to Manchester on loads of times thats our favourite place to go. We`ve also been to the Blackpool one, and this one in Stoke on Trent we think its fab, excellent food, quick service. We both love Italian food I would recommend this to anyone that loves Italian. I seem to stick to Bella Italia restaurants, I don't seem to venture out much because it's that good we keep coming back for more , Donna.
Bella Italia – StaffordCalled in to night after seeing signs on the main road. Wanted to see menus which one was given and informed that it was not the usual one. Hospitality nil and felt we were in a dentists surgery rather than a restaurant .We really liked the look of the place and would have certainly been back to eat. Spoke to another diner who said the food was great but the welcome didnt exsist.Very uncomfortable feeling for strangers, perhaps a one off night but I dont think so
Bistro Le Coq – StaffordWe had our second visit to this lovely little pub today when we took two friends. We had a superb meal and the atmosphere was great and the staff friendly. We arrived just before opening time but they welcomed us in and made us coffee. We and our friends will definitely be returning. T and T Derby
Bistro Le Coq – Staffordi live in Birmingham but went to see my mom in gnosall.she took me to a pub called navigation inn .the people and the owners made me really welcome.the ale and food are excellent, i would highly recommend if you live by the navigation inn try it you would not be disappointed :-)
The Navigation Inn – Staffordstafford balti is the best place for consistently good food and service and Abdul looks after you with a personal touch.
Stafford Balti – StaffordThe Hollybush is my favourite local pub. We eat there near enough every week and have never had a bad meal. The specials board (excl Sunday) is great - all meals are under £5 and the quality and portion size is incredible. They also have the "main" menu with a great choice of meals made from predominantly local produce, there is also a lunch bar menu which has great choice too.
The Hollybush Inn – StaffordBeware of reviews prior to September 2010! Thwaites acquired this quintessentially English pub around 5 years ago and there followed a procession of totally unsuitable tenants and long periods when the pub was closed. All this changed with the arrival of Emma, Natalia and brothers Richard and Tim. Within the space of a couple of weeks the historic coaching in went from a pub on the brink of closure to one where you had to book a table if you wanted to dine at week-ends. I could wax lyrical about lovingly prepared, presented and wonderful tasting local produce - but you just need to look at the car park (it's invariably full!) if you want proof of the fact that these guys have got it spot on. If all rural pubs were this welcoming and served food of this standard, (I believe the brothers have worked previously in a number of Michelin starred restaurants) then there would be far fewer moans about the price of beer, smoking ban, drink driving laws etc. The Red Lion is is testament to the fact that a hard working, passionate and knowledgable team can still make a great success of working in the Staffordshire countryside.
The Red Lion Inn – StaffordExcellent food always served piping hot, menu is changed regularly so plenty of choice and well presented.
The Navigation Inn – StaffordWe have just moved to Gnosall, and thought we would try some of the local pubs, the navigation inn provided us with excellent food with great value, with a friendly service. Nice to find good quality cask ales!! Would highly recommend mixed grill or the 20 oz Steak and ale pie!! Stunning! We've found our new local.
The Navigation Inn – StaffordBeen eating there fairly regularly for over 20 years. Always very ample, enjoyable, well cooked wholesome food. Never had cause to make a complaint. Been to most of the other 'eateries' within 15 miles over the years, but the 'Nav' is hard to beat!
The Navigation Inn – Staffordthis pub has been changed to a carvery and it is very poor the staff are slow and after being left standing for 25 mins before being served the girl seated me in a surly manner and we ordered drinks she returned with the wrong drinks and then asked us to go get our food at a glance the food was limp and over cooked the gravy had a thick skin it was awful no one behind the pass either i was very disappointed!! we wont be going back in a hurry!!
