Had a lovely lunch and great service. Always good at the golden lion .They never let you down for fine dining.

Party of 16, had the Festive Menu, food was lovely, well presented, staff very friendly and efficient, would definitely recommend going.

The cronies dining room was very festive and cosy as it was so cold outside. The waiting staff were polite and friendly and we got our meals in good time. The food was generous and very tasty. It was freshly cooked and I’m sure home made on the premises. It arrived to our table hot and was presented nicely: I thought the menu was very well priced and I’m definitely going back in the new year.

Our party of 11 had a super evening. The festive Dinner was absolutely delicious (4 different main courses were chosen) and the service was excellent. I would thoroughly recommend it.

10 of us had the 3 course festive lunch and it was excellent. The service was very quick and we all got our meals at the same time. Portions were generous and hot when they arrived. The surroundings are lovely and comfortable. Our only negative point was we thought the bottle of house wine wasn't very good and a bit overpriced but otherwise a lovely afternoon.

Ate here with my husband and son. We all really enjoyed our meals. I had the Turkey special, which was delicious and generous portion. My son loved his meal and ice cream. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the dining area had a lovely atmosphere. The 2 course lunch deal was excellent value for money. Rounded our meal off with a delicious sticky toffee pudding. Will definitely return!

Highly recommendable. Coming from Denmark, we have visited several times to enjoy the "High Tea", each time selecting the same main course. Excellent beer battered fish and chips to start with and the best scones we have ever tasted! Their cappuccino is both tasty and very large (unfortunately, the coffee machine was broken at this visit....). Nice ambience and pleasant service goes hand-in-hand with the good food - and reasonable pricing as well.

The food was fantastic and the location is outstanding. We met our overseas friends there for dinner and they loved it too. Very Scottish feel and look with lots of history.

Every time we visit Stirling we have a meal in this hotel, highly recommend, food, service, staff and atmosphere all first class.

Convenient town centre location and comfortable restaurant area. Friendly and attentive service. Party of 3 all enjoyed their meal which was good value and nicely presented. Option of 1, 2 or 3 courses. Will be happy to return for lunch or evening menu.

Excellent meal - could not fault any aspect of this meal in terms of quality and quantity it was delicious. Only "fault" was the house was in insistent we ordered all courses at the same time and paid in advance ("we want to cash up the Restaurant Till") which gave us a feeling of being rushed (it was only 07.30 and 2 other people dining), otherwise all good.

Had an delicious ham salad here with friends on Sunday afternoon. Ham salad was not on the menu we wanted but we asked the waitress if it was possible to have this and she went and checked and came back and said we could. So 5 ham salads ordered and very much enjoyed. The staff were excellent and we were particularly impressed with the lovely smiling German waitress. She was such a lovely person and couldn’t do enough to help us. The rest of staff were very good too I must add. Looking forward to our next lunch date. Thank you all and complements to the chef(s).

We booked a dinner, bed and breakfast package and the fixed menu had lots of choice and the quality of food and service was very good. Would definitely recommend Cronies restaurant.
