Kushoom Koly – StockportMe and my partner visited this wine bar/restaurant for my birthday last week. The food was cold and lacked in flavour. The service had improved since my last visit. The one good point was the atmosphere and ambience was perfect. Enjoyable evening but poor food.
Town Cafe Bar – StockportWhat a great place! I've lived just round the corner for the past 3 years and for some reason had never visited. The food was superb - just different enough from your average curry to make it feel a bit more special. The prices were incredibly reasonable, and the staff are all great. It's just had a re-furb too which makes it more visually appealing than it once was. All in all a fantastic and bargin place. I'll definitely be going back soon.
Kantipur – StockportWhat a great place! The recent re-furb has nade it look a lot more appealing
Kantipur – Stockportok, nothing special
Kushoom Koly – StockportMy local curry house for 12 years now and I'm still not bored. Good tasty food that is slightly more Bengali in style (rather than Brit-Asian) than competitors. Child and Grandma friendly early, but loud and lively late in the evening. Consistently good food and friendly service. Cannot praise this eatery enough.
Kushoom Koly – StockportI love the Kush and think the food is amazing. Everyone has their favourite curry place and this is mine. It can't be beaten.
Kushoom Koly – StockportI have been here on several occasions and it is always excellent. I try to be different but am always drawn back to the Gamberi Romani (prawns in a spicy tomato sauce), and you cannot beat the steaks, excellent Fileto Flambeade (fillet steak with bacon served in flaming brandy). Meal for 2 with wine usually around the £50 mark, not cheap but well worth it as a treat!
Valentinos Ristorante Pizzeria – StockportAs a regular at the "Kush" I have been several times over the last few months, trying dishes from Salmon Xacuti, Chicken Zalfrezi and Chicken Karahi. As ever the food was excellent, as was the service. If I had one complaint, and it would be minor, it would be the limited wine list, but that is just splitting hairs! Will be back again.
Kushoom Koly – StockportI thought the food was great; the service was great they were all happy to help and served with a smile, I haven? been to many Spanish restaurants but the food here was lovely definitely one to visit
Los Amigos – StockportVisited several times and always good food.
Ciao Ristorante – StockportA superb meal beaten only by the welcome all diners get from the owners, a little bit of italy on the A6 an undiscovered gem in my mind !
Donatello Pizzeria Ristorante – Stockportbeen twice before and had meals delivered. very friendly staff. modern jazz music in background (nice change). food very tasty and plentiful. choice of wine a bit limited but nice wine bars nearby! home deliveries very handy!
Kushoom Koly – StockportFantastic
Los Amigos – Stockportexcellent asian / bengali food. much more authentic than the curry houses that pander to a western palate.
Kushoom Koly – StockportThe Rudyard is part of the "Innkeepers lodge" Toby carvery group. It has recently been re-furbished. The dull dingy atmosphere has gone, the place is now pastel colours. Watch out for the "risque" postcards on the wall. The "Carvery" is now available between 12.-5.00pm Mon-Sat at £4.99,excellent value for money. Choice of Gammon,Turkey,Beef in Guinnness pie, Roast rib of beef, accompanied by the self service selection of broccoli, cauliflower cheese, cabbage, carrots, roast parsnip, yorkshire pud. The only restriction is how much you can fit on a plate. Choice of 6 starters £3.25 to £1.99. The summer salad deal is £6.45,gammon &honey mustard with free glass of wine. Various other selections, see the menu. Kids menu available, high chairs for th kids. Bottle of Argentinian red,£7.95 quite good aswell. Update has certainly made this establishment a lot better.
Miller & Carter – StockportIf you want something a little different, try this. The Nepalese dishes are fantastic and not too spicy. The starters are excellent and the prices are very good. A very warm welcome from the owners, who seem geniunely glad to serve you. Very, cheap too. I think this is the best restaurant in Stockport. Try it!
Kantipur – StockportThis is a "Henrys table" establishment. Next door to a travelodge. Plenty of parking space, large restaurant area. Can get busy especially on Sundays, booking may be your best bet. 3 rooms to have a drink prior to sitting down. Nothing out of the ordinary in the beer line. Usually well cooked and presented but can suffer periodically from "Change of Chef" syndrome.
Old Rectory, The – StockportSunday Special: 3 courses, £16.90
