Amazing little pub which I stumbled upon by accident. Very welcoming staff, great atmosphere and excellent food! I’d never been there before and they were so lovely! Only suggestion I’d make is to have a proper child’s menu not half price of the main as my kids wouldn’t eat what’s on the adult menu. But if you don’t have many kids eat with you and it’s not financially viable, leave it as it is.

It was our first visit to the Vine. First impressions were good. White table linen which is a rarity these days. Food was excellent and freshly cooked and the service very good. Our starters and main were delicious and well presented. We would have no hesitation in recommending the Vine and propose to visit again in the near future.

I have visited the Vine Inn many times and have always been impressed. Today I had the two course set menu £18.95. The mushrooms in sherry were very tasty and the pan fried cod main I could not fault. Great value for money when compared to other eateries in the area.

Went here for Sunday lunch. Good value for money and very good service. I had venison and my wife Turkey. Pub is a throw back to earlier times and not in a bad way. Set in the middle of clent hills in a lovely location. We have eaten here several times and never been disappointed.

First visit good choice for an evening meal. Quaint restaurant a little cool no heating on as a cool day. Friendly staff always checking on our table to see if we wanted anything. Starters gambas pil pil and smoked salmon and prawns very fresh and tasty. Mains haunch of venison dauphinois potatoes and broccoli great food. Caribbean goat and plantain no taste wouldn’t choose again. A bottle of Merlot to accompany the meal definitely a good choice. Overall would return again.

A quiet evening for two at the Vine, Clent. We were made most welcome, a difficult choice to decide on tempting menu, but both went for the very tasty Game Pie, with beautiful fresh and well cooked veggies, and lovely chips. Hardly room for pud, but managed a brilliant bread and butter pudding with cream, my wife settled for 3 ice creams! Thank you to all the staff there, those we met and those behind the scenes...

We happened on this place by accident, booked for Sunday lunch and it didn’t disappoint. The food was excellent, the staff are very friendly. It’s dog friendly which is always a plus and because we had a pushchair we were seated appropriately to accommodate it. The only thing that let it down is the very outdated decor, but that did not detract from the excellent Sunday lunch.

Love this pub for the pub, service, staff, good wine and atmosphere. Always a winner.

Had a great Sunday lunch here with family and will be back. The food was gorgeous (with generous portions) and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The perfect place for a meal halfway between family members - well worth the 2.5 hour drive.

Visited on Thursday 8th August. The service and drinks (Butty Bach and Merlot) were very good as were the main courses (Monkfish Scampi special excellent, Beef Stifado very good). Our sorbet deserts were refreshing but spoilt slightly by being full of crunchy ice, probably due to being open too long within the freezer but the real disappointment was the coffee. This was either a very unusual blend or, more likely, very stale beans which was a real shame. Overall very good and we will return.

Great food, although not sure how onion chutney fits in with a seafood platter:-) Enjoyed the game pie, mussels looked excellent. The pork medallions were top notch. Would go again.

Booked a meal for 4 on the 7th August, the staff were very welcoming when we arrived. Our meal was delicious couldn’t fault it. I would highly recommend the vine, & shell definitely be returning in the near future

It was great to dine in a brilliant independent pub restaurant. The menu was a change from the standard fare served in most chain restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and will definitely return!
