Great food and a warm welcome in a historic location!

All was wonderful. Food delicious, service superb, good value, and all in a lovely pub in a lovely setting. What more could anyone ask for.

Excellent food and service. Friendly atmosphere and the sort of Village Pub that used to and thankfully still does exist! Long may it flourish. Rachel from accounts must reverse all punitive business taxation to help businesses like this thrive.

It’s pub food, fresh and well cooked in atmospheric, historic setting with warm welcome. Will be back.

All 4 of us really enjoyed our lunches. Lovely staff and our table was in a very pleasant room. The only negative comment is that your booking system doesn't seem to work very well. Thanks we will definitely be back and will recommend to others

Firstly, let me start by saying that the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The menu was excellent and so was the food. Three small things would have made it perfect. The log fire was fantastic but it was allowed to go out, there was a door open which didn’t allow the fire to do its job and the lack of a little background music, especially at Christmas time.

A group of ex SHS pupils who left school in 1972 have met up three times over the last 18 months at Beacon Bar and Cafe. Yesterday 15 of us met up and enjoyed a variety of well prepared lunches from the menu having pre-ordered and paid 2 weeks ago. The venue is excellent for a sociable event, food and service could not be faulted and our lunches arrived precisely at the agreed time. We look forward to returning next year!

Very nice Sunday roast in an interesting historic pub. Generous portion sizes: a large plate full! The veg were nice and plentiful: sprouts, carrots, roast potatoes and parsnips and a ramekin of yummy cauliflower cheese. All accompanied by a jug of gravy each. Helpful staff. The only criticism is that we found the pub a little chilly in temperature – perhaps as it was a day when the weather started to get colder. Would definitely have Sunday lunch there again.

Just what you want from a village pub. Enormous portions of food, lots of atmosphere, and the staff couldn't have been friendlier - even taking time to show us a bit of the building's history

Brilliant! We spent a fabulous family weekend in Bisley and cannot recommend The Bear Inn highly enough. Friendly staff, excellent proper pub food and a fantastic atmosphere! Thank you to the Bear team!

I took my mum and mother in law to the "seniors" lunch yesterday and had a very nice meal. The roast dinner was very generous and cooked well with plenty of veg including cauliflower cheese which was very tasty. The pudding was apple crumble and custard which again was nice. No choice of the meals but that was fine, we all enjoyed it.

Alice provides exceptional food and excellent service as always. Great atmosphere and a welcoming host, hard to beat.

Not a huge Menu, but with enough variety and choice , ( much better than having too much to choose from.) Lovely Steak meal.

Had an amazing meal here. Dog friendly pub lovely to see locals at the Bar and Dining. We both chose the Rib Steak + trimmings under £17.00 Amazing plateful Couldn’t manage a Dessert ( and my Husbands over 6’ ! ) Will definitely be returning as we visits friends near Bisley
