We had a family party one Sunday evening and decided to go to one of our favourite restaurants the portobello, once again we had an exceptional meal, The chef ( I believe his name is Andy) was a delight to watch, and the food was excellent. I would thoroughly recommend it

We enjoy an excellent meal prepared by the Head chef Andy which was truly delicious and very fresh, would highly recommend the Portobello.

A group of 15 of us finished off a great evening of bowling with superb food here. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed a variety of freshly cooked meals including Pizza, Pasta & steak. Highly recommended.

A wonderful family atmosphere with most of the staff being of 1 family. Friendly cosy polite and welcoming. A lovely clean pub and nothing is too much for the staff here. Excellent.

Excellent value for food and drinks. Entertainment every weekend and quiz night on Tuesdays. Sunday Roast every week which is very good value at £6.00 for all the trimmings. Everything is home cooked and you can really taste the difference from the usual microwave stuff that is available in most places. The have a kids play area which is fenced off from the road, and quite often have a bouncy castle which is free for the kids to use. A real "family" pub, but also good for a bite to eat and lots going on during the weekends. Highly recommended!

I eat here regularly and find the staff friendly and sociable. I've never had a less than gorgeous meal here and the portions are always extremely generous.

the cukoos rest was brilliant. i must say i will be going there again very soon. they also have fabulous entertainment including karaoke. go there now

Very reasonable priced menu carvery outstanding value for money. Also outside play area for children, which is always good.
