E xcellent

Six of us ate there yesterday.The food was good but the service was awful. The pub was not busy ,the 2 girls serving were unwelcoming and surly. I do like people to be pleasant especially when taking peoples money ! The Hanging Gate at Weaverham,same stable,is always a joy to eat at.

Lovely evening out for a special occasion

Not as good as it used to be. Very expensive for not a lot of food. Had the fajitas and only had 3 small wraps. Service was slow. Used to feel like a very luxurious experience and now just seems like a very expensive one.

This was the first time here and we were very impressed. The restaurant style is amazing the staff were courteous and polite and we felt very comfortable. The interior decor is very vibrant reflecting the theme of the place. The menu is varied with something for everyone also a very good drinks menu. Couldn't find any thing not to like

The food here was amazing had the rib and wing combo loved every bite, friend had chicken enchiladas and that to was perfect, great presentation, love the vibe here, great service and great value for the quality of food, cannot fault a thing

We've been eating at the Alvanley for some years, especially Sunday lunch and invariably 8 or more of us. We can not fault a single thing! The food, the service, the prices, everything.. its all very good. The Sunday brisket is very good. Good portions and nice cauliflower cheese. Highly recommended.

Great evening. Staff extremely helpful and friendly although rushed off their feet. Food fab and good sized portions. There was a large party in who were pretty noisy but although busy and obviously fully booked they moved us to another table which was very much appreciated. Will definitely return .

The staff were not attentive. Food and drink was plonked on the table. When the food came we were offered sauces and given a tiny amount. No one came to check all was ok with the meal or that we needed anything else (we needed more sauce!). It wasn’t busy at all as we went at 7pm. The fajitas were 80% onions and the chicken was overcooked. The steak was a grey colour, looked more like gammon. We had a bottle of wine and two mains so for £80 we found the whole experience very disappointing indeed. We won’t go back again. Shame, as we’d heard such positive things from friends.

All 3 of us enjoyed every part of our meals, excellent quality, delicious and really good portion sizes, definitely value for money, we will be back. The waitress was lovely aswell.

Excellent meal for my family. There were 7 of us but all of our meals were served at the same time and cooked deliciously. Staff were lovely and friendly as Nd the pub itself is beautiful

First time we have visited despite passing the restaurant regularly for the last ten years. We should have done it sooner. Probably one of the best meals we have had and very competitively priced. Ambiance staff and service second to none. We will definitely be back.
