After a bit of a rough time and very rare night out what a place to eat! Food was amazing! We had set menu and then a pudding as we couldn't resist! So much choice! The best meal we've had out in a long time! Couldn't fault the staff, service or food at all! Wish we could come back again the day after! Definitely visiting again soon! Very well needed treat!

We had a lunchtime booking for a gathering of 6 family members to celebrate an 85th birthday . We have been several times before and are always very pleased just as we were yesterday. Thank you for putting candles on the surprisr birthday cake, it was a very thoughtful touch.

Wonderful food, and excellent ales. Friendly service and the beautiful Cheshire countryside. What more is needed.

The food and service was absolutely brilliant. We ate off the set menu and were really happy with all the starters and main courses we ordered the food was superb. The was no rush all very relaxed, calm and friendly. The staff were brilliant as we remembered them from years ago. The very best bit was we went to celebrate me daughter's 15th birthday, they brought out a brownie with a sparkler on top which totally made her evening. Thank you again. We will be back soon.

What a great time. I took my partner out for her birthday. I asked if they do anything for birthdays. They don't but they did fond a candle for her. Lovely staff friendly. I can't recommend it enough. I'm considering taking the kids and grandparents. Thank you for making my partners birthday special.

The food was delicious The steak pie worth particular mention. The service was excellent attentive without ever feeling we were being rushed . We will definitely return.

Every perfect except for only use one fryer so as I allergic to fish could not have fries

Enjoyable evening. I had in mind the roast pork belly as I wanted to taste the haggis, but sadly they did not have haggis and was asked if I wanted just mashed potato instead. It was a little disappointing since it was on the menu. I opted for Beef Bourguignon which was fine, but the part-baked bread seemed to be just a warmed up chunk rather than a 'crusty bread' as it says on the menu. The service was very good and the drinks were good

We visited as we had our wedding meal here 3 years ago and came back for an anniversary meal which was really nice. The service, meal and drinks were awesome so deffo worth a visit

Really nice night, considering there were two big parties in service was great. Always nice when the bar man remembers your drink without having to ask. The two people who served us the food are absolute diamonds so polite and welcoming. Please thank everyone for working so hard to make sure we enjoyed our evening
