We had a great Sunday lunch last week for my Wife's birthday. It really helped how patient the staff were with our 10 year old daughter who struggles with new environments. Whilst she was very nervous to start with, we were all made to feel very welcome and the staff took time to explain the meal options to her and let her decide what she wanted. We all thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The food was also excellent - one of the best Sunday Roasts we have had in a restaurant. Thanks to all concerned - we will be back.

Starters were lovely but a false dawn followed by average fish and chips and overcooked pie and a very odd chicken Parmasan Wine full of sediment told it was normal although it was taken off the bill Manager unavailable Serving staff lovely the right level of attentiveness and very cheerful Booking online easy and effective Good communication pre and post booking Parking good and lovely presented pub But as people have said there’s a lot of competition and we won’t be returning

The food here was excellent. My daughter and I had the 10oz ribeye steak with chips, mushroom and tomato, and of course the peppercorn sauce which was divine. The starters were ample and perfectly cooked and presented. The steak was cooked to our liking. The chips etc were cooked perfectly; crispy on the outside, fluffy in the middle, and plenty of them. The staff were lovely; very friendly, efficient and informative. If we go to that area again, we will be visiting this restaurant. The only thing we would have liked, was the music to have been a tad louder. The atmosphere was a little quiet. That's just our opinion, but it won't stop us eating there again. Thank you to all the staff.

Had a lovely meal with four friends. The food was good and the service was good. We all agreed afterwards we would be visiting again.

Great Sunday lunch - generous portions and the lunch deal is great value. Beef was fantastic and a great selection of vegetables too. We had no room for pudding so sadly left without and headed to drop our son back to university - but called back in on the way back for coffee and sticky toffee pudding relaxing on the sofa - definitely worth calling for second time in the day. We will definitely be returning - friendly staff, great service and lovely restaurant - we could have had an afternoon drinking coffee and relaxing on the sofas!

Disappointed with the visit this time. Food average. Strange "public toilet" smell in toilet area. Service a bit lacking even though not busy.

Gorgeous meal, we had the Sunday roast the beef was absolutely perfect! Really great value. The staff as always were attentive and efficient. Thank so much.

Dined here yesterday afternoon with friends the meals and service was top notch ..food was well presented and very tasty I had belly pork and my husband had the lasagne so did our friends ..definitely come here again ..
