The atmosphere is always very warming especially with a log fire on a cold day, our food was excellent but service was poor. The drinks order was wrong, we ordered 3 puddings only 2 arrives together and we had to ask for the bill 3 times and then it was the wrong bill ! Then when we came to pay the waitress did not k now how to work the card machine.

I hadn't had vegan ice cream before so thought I would try it but I won't do so again, it was a big disappointment. I think it would be better to be served with ice cream as standard and perhaps offer vegan ice cream as an option.

Alvanley Arms – TarporleyMy daughter likes going for walks in country areas so we had a day out in Delamere. For our lunch, we went to the Alvanley Arms and it was great. It is nice and cosy in there, the food is really nice and the staff are great. It is in a brilliant location and is right next door to the Shire Horse Centre whcih we visited immediately afterwards. The Alvanley Arms is such a nice place and we'd love to go again.
