Came in for a meal with some friends who came up from Cornwall as we have done before when they have visited food & staff were lovely the only think was off putting is that they let people vape in side where people are eating the smell was so bad as it was right near us obviously it is allowed because the staff was chatting & laughing with them & never said a word because of this I will not be visiting again such a shame

I frequently visit The Alvanley Arms with my mum the food is always lovely ( good portion sizes) and the staff very friendly and helpful

For me the main thing is the staff. They are always so obliging and happy to serve you. The food is always fresh and hot. It’s a lovely atmosphere. The chicken wings are the absolute best!! There is no where that I know of that can do them as tasty as Panama’s. 5* for these everytime. We look forward to coming again

We were celebrating my son’s birthday, and we couldn’t have chosen better. It’s a fabulous experience at Panama Hatties as well as a jolly fine restaurant to dine in. The service is 1st class, quick, but not so that you feel rushed or under any pressure to finish eating. The food is delicious. Portions just right. The choice of drinks is good and not overpriced. Overall a rather lovely dining experience

Food was lovely and service was good. Soft drinks were very pricey.

Great food I would be back again! Only problem was we had to ask for desserts as we weren’t asked by the young waitress if we wanted anything else .

We enjoyed both our meals, a chicken parmigiana and a gammon steak. Friendly staff, it was great.

I’ve been a few times but unfortunately I won’t be visiting again the service on last nights meal was awful service was extremely slow. The staff were miserable we were there for 3 hours and only got served twice for drinks and each time we had to look for staff for service. The staff make for a miserable experience they look at customers in an awful manner and just seem genuinely unhappy and unhelpful people. Never again

Visited on Saturday for my wife's birthday love the ambience the food was excellent and all the staff were very good making us welcome with first class service. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Great choice of menu, with lots of variety. All food was tasty & well presented. Service was good, we were advised to order ASAP due to a coach party arriving. Would definitely recommend

We've been going to the Alvanley Arms for many years. Food lovely, plenty of it and good value staff very attentive. Thoroughly recommend it.

The choice of food was limited, the Roast Chicken and Duck Breast were both unavailable, as was the Chocolate Brownie. The Cheese and Potato pie was overcooked with the pastry being too hard. It's a shame because meals we have had previously have been excellent.

Service variable, no dessert or coffee offered after lunch. Had to go and ask. Niçoise salad minus tuna, olives and anchovies!! Not a Nicosia salad at all.

Anybody thinking of taking a visit - don’t hesitate. We were greeted warmly and seated promptly. Attention to detail throughout the whole meal was second to none. The food was excellent, portions massive but quality top notch. A proper restaurant that knows how to look after its guests, already looking forward to our next visit.
