We have been to the Alvanley Arms many times. We went for my wifes 80th birthday and all ways the food was excellent. You are always given a nice welcome and would strongly recommend

Met a family member for lunch. We were allocated a lovely table in the area I had requested, cozy with the wood burners, service was excellent and food extremely tasty, a decent portion size and good value for money.

I met my friend for a catch up and evening food. Our meal was delicious, the staff were friendly and we had a lovely evening!

Excellent food, served promptly. Good attentive service. Lovely friendly environment, making it great for kids.

Lovely lunch with friends. Food as always was really good.As soon as you walk in, you're greeted with a lovely welcome.The atmosphere is so relaxing.

Nice Welcome when we arrived, taken to table everywhere clean and tidy nicely laid out.waitress came took our drinks orders gave us afew minutes to settle down then she came back took food orders.When food arrived it looked delicious [it was] then we all has a sweet the trifle was to die for. there were 4 in our party.

Excellent Sunday roast and great service.

We’ve been coming here for many years & enjoyed our visits & meals, but sadly we’ve noticed on our latest visit that the portions have decreased in size, I always like to take a photo & the difference in the rack of ribs is a 25% reduction, it’s even on a smaller plate & the salt & pepper wings which are amazing which I had 5 last time to 3 1/2 this time, but obviously still paying the same, very disappointed

Went on Saturday for a meal with my partner. Its been many years since I was last there. I was not disappointed. The food and attentive service was perfect.

Went with a friend to Panama Hatty's Spurstow. We both enjoyed a delicious meal with a relaxed atmosphere. The service was prompt and friendly as always. We will be back very soon.

Lovely meal. The seating area beforehand is excellent and sets the tone very well. 4 adults all had something different and the food was all very good. Service also very good. Highly recommend. A little pricey but not really any pricier than other Restaurants in the area. Would definitely come again and not leave it too long the next time.

Excellent food and service

Was really good ordered beef dirty fries, chicken come, mess up in kitchen pushed for time said no problem take chicken, which was nice, but no compliments what so ever but still....

Returned on Sunday afternoon after visiting during the christmas break. This time we brought my dad and both adult sons. We all enjoyed a lovely afternoon. Our food orders varied from burger to Sunday roast. The food was lovely, presented well and my sons were very happy with the portion size. Staff were attentive and pleasant. A nice bonus was the 25% discount leaflet we remembered to take with us.

We regularly visit the Alvanley Arms. We love the atmosphere and the staff are lovely. Their pies are simply the BEST! The Cheese Pie is outstanding as is the Beef! The portions are enormous and the price is extremely fair particularly since the food is so good! They always accommodate our dog, who also enjoys his visits as he is given treats! We constantly recommend this pub to our friends and family, who have all visited and are of the same opinion!! Excellent!!

Food was excellent as always . We came on Valentine’s Day and as you would expect it was very busy. Staff were running round like headless chicken and to be honest didn’t seem very organised even the two managers. One of which took our order and was rushing around that much didn’t even give me chance to finish telling him my order. Drinks mixed up and not what we asked for forever and a day waiting I would say most in there looked a bit fed up. I’ve been here many times before and this is not the level of service we have received over the years.

We went for lunch on my birthday. The food was excellent, all made fresh to order and so tasty. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We look forward to visiting again.
