Really enjoyed the evening. All the staff are very attentive giving excellent service. Great atmosphere and highly recommended.

We've now made made three visits to Michaels since the chaotic opening night in November 2003. The standard of food is excellent and the menu is certainly unique in its layout and adaptations of some traditional favourites. Maybe this is the reason we keep coming back We have one or two criticisms though,particularly with the standard of waiting on. Employing too many teenagers who clearly have no training or aptitude for the task has frequently been a big let down which we have seen little evidence of improvement in subsequent visits. A second lesser fault is the consistancy of some portion sizes, is it just us or do the starters shrink on busy nights ?

Really enjoyed the starter but thought the pork was rather tough and chewy. Really liked the sweet and the atmosphere of Twelve

We have eaten at Michaels several times now and have enjoyed each visit. It was so refreshing to dine in such a modern and bright restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful. the food on each occassion was consistently delicious.( The naan breads are out of this world!)

My boyfriend and I are regulars at Twelve now and it has always been exceptional. Despite living around the corner we were put off going at first after hearing about small portions and high prices - how wrong we were. Yes, it is more expensive than other restaurants in the Thornton area, but you get what you pay for and at Twelve, the food, atmosphere, and service is exceptional. We can never fault a thing about the food - it is divine and the portions are big enough so as not to leave you hungry or too full. I love this place and would highly recommend it. PS - Try the 'Banana Butty' - Heaven on a plate!

It may be numerically 3 less than Jamie Olivers' place, but the food was right up there alongside him. I had the Red Deer and my wife had the Barbary Duck last time we visited. Absolutely gorgeous. Pricey for the Fylde, but cheap for a Top-Class establishment like this. We've never been dissappointed and have become regulars since we found the place. Well Done to Caroline and the team!

We have not visited Michaels 3 times over the xmas period and we where very impressed on each occasion. The quality of the curry is properly one of the best on the Fylde coast with generous portion sizes (the Nan breads as big enough for 2 to share). The menu has the usual standard curries plus a good selection of Michaels specials. If you are feeling hungry I recommend you try on of the "Puri" dishes off the starter menu. Also of note is they also have a pizza menu(!!) to keep those non curry lovers happy if your out in a big group.[LDT]

Went to Mimmos on a busy Saturday evening - the food was tasty, but I was a little dissapointed with the level of service.

EXCELLENT PLACE TO EAT

This restaurant fully deserves all the accolades heaped upon it on Sugarvine and other restaurant guides. I went on Friday with my boyfriend and a couple of friends. The interior is ultra contempory without being cold and clinical. Twelve bill their food as modern British, as many metropolitan restaurants do these days. However Twelve truly is, creating innovative slants on great British dishes like; Deer, rabbit, Lamb and game. The service was also very professional paticularly from the front of house manager and the wines were very well priced with the most expensive being about £20, which can't have much of a mark up. Twelve is a restaurant any city would be proud of, so we should count ourselves very lucky to have a restaurant like Twelve out here in the Fylde

Superb! the food was wonderful - we ate every morsel. The staff were attentive but not over powering and the 'market menu' surprisingly good value. I'll definitely be back -a very close second to Chicory in Lytham.

very good food, full of flavour and very well presented. Visted with 5yr old daughter and they where happy to produce a childs portion of spagetti for her. Can be busy at weekends worth booking in advcance[ldt]

properly the best chinesse takeaway in thornton. food is always of the highest quality and they are happy to adjust dishes to your own personal taste. serves one of the best Hot and Sour soups I have tasted on the fylde coast, advisable to ring throuh order at weekends as it can get very busy [LDT]

The food at Tariqs is generaly good but those who think all indian food tastes like those bland supermarket sauces are in for a shock. The chief at Tariqs is very enthustiastic with his spices, some of Tariqs mild dishes would be considered HOT elsewhere. [LDT]

we have visted several time and had our christmass meal there 2002. The food is outstanding, the presentation is outstanding, good selection of bottled drinks at the bar. I am getting hungry just thinking of the Mozzeralla wrapped in Parma Ham hmmm [LDT]

My family and I have visited this pub on several occasions and have never been disappointed. The waitresses who served us have always remained polite and helpful, along with the friendly bar staff. The menu is very large with a delicious and wide choice of foods, all at very reasonable prices. Definitely an enjoyable eat within a delightful atmosphere.
