Visited the New Inn last night, there were 9 of us dining, not a single complaint. The food was great, I had the rump steak cooked to perfection . Great atmosphere as you'd expect from a quaint village pub, will return again.

Having visited the new inn the night before last (7/11/12) I couldn't have had a more different experience to the one that "mike" talks about in earlier comments, I too had the "New Inn Burger" that was truly fantastic value for money, and cooked to perfection. My partner enjoyed the homemade spicy goulash - discribed as mouthwatering.I will return to the New Inn for sure and would recommend anybody who wants to enjoy great food, a huge range of local real ales and a warming country pub atmosphere to visit it right away. It's refreshing to see a pub on the up inspire of the difficult economic climate....... WELL DONE!!

Sorry tonights food was poor. Starter Onion Bhaji no taste other than flour and that did not taste nice someone forgot the spices. Machli Biran last time I ordered this it was one piece of fish not cut into chunks and dry, over cooked.

We have been to the Castle almost every week since finding it, and it proved to be a good find. Food choice is varied, if a little dear for a pub. Food was of reasonable quality and decently cooked, that is why we often went for a change from our usual restaurant venues. However, our last visit on Sunday the 16/9/2012 and I mean THIS WILL BE OUR LAST EVER VISIT, was an UTTER DISASTER.Let me say first, the Young lady who served us was Polite, Efficient, Conscientious, Friendly and could not have been better or nicer… No, the problem was with the Kitchen entirely I had the Duck Breast, a couple of the centre slices were edible, just, but a couple at each end were over cooked and very hard. My wife had the Pork which was overcooked and dry and chewy, as overdone pork invariably is, so we left almost all of the meals. But as we were paying the full price for it, we asked to take the meats home for our cats. Even then we were not too upset, as we are retired we dine out several times a week, so are used to the occasional slip-up.Out came the meats for home, rapped in a bit of Cling-film. My wife said it looked very small for what we had left, so she opened it at the table.. Some comedian in the kitchen had put just a bit of the overcooked Pork fat and the very end dark hard bits of Duck in the cling-film…. The rest of the meats were missing. Obviously this had been done intentionally, and shows a total disrespect for the Customer, and what can happen if you send anything back.. As we always have drinks and wine with our meals, The Castle has lost approximately £60 – 70 on a regular basis, this may not matter to them, but there are many venues happy to cater for customers better than this……

First used the restaurant shortly after the new owners took over and was impressed by the meal and the menu. Made a second visit a few weeks later and the meal was a bit disappointing. Last night (11/9/12) five of us decided to go for a meal, it was early and we were the only diners. I was disappointed that the menu was the same as earlier in the year when we first visited. I ordered Garlic Mushrooms and when it came it consisted of no more than two mushrooms thinly sliced and swimming in a cream sauce, i was luckier than one of our five though, her starter (ribs) had been forgotten and only arrived when the rest of us had finished. When it did arrive instead of falling off the bone the meat had to be forced off with a knife and my friend just gave up on it.The main courses arrived, well four did, this time it was me who was forgotton. My New Inn Burger eventually arrived and it was as if it had been left on the side and then thrown in the microwave before serving. The burger was dry, the bread roll was hard round the edges and the chips had been warmed up.As we all had something to complain about we decided not to risk dessert and asked for the bill. Talk about adding insult to injury, two guest beers had been added to the bill, we had been drinking wine and soft drinks so it wasn't ours, fair do's it was taken off when we complained. We have probably had worst meals in a greasy spoon or motorway cafe but I cannot remember when, I am not suprised that we were the only ones in the restaurant.

i think i'm one of the first to review this restaurant but i'm sure i won't be the last. fantastic service from start to finish. All staff are polite and friendly, and food was served in a timely manner and with a smile. The food is delicious and to a high standard, as well as being great value for money. I would highly recommend Arooje to anyone, and it is one of my favorite Indian restaurants

Fantastic restaurant. Easy to find and big car park. Lovely decoration inside and the staff are just amazing.. so friendly and genuinely nice people. The food was divine. Beautifully presented and excellent value. I have been twice now and we will be returning again. Best thai restaurant we've been to, including the more big name restaurants in the city. Recommended.

The side salad was dry and well past its best. The mixed starter was burnt and left a nasty after taste. The chicken vindaloo was not hot, I have had hotter curry from my local chippy. I will not be recommending this to anyone tried to have a word with the manager and all i got was chef is having a bad day.

I was pretty disappointed with the new change of hands with Bella Roma. I must preferred the previous owners. I felt as if the new owner were more bothered to bring in their customers from the Ronaldi's than the regular customers.

The best thai restaurant I've ever eaten in. Went last week and was thoroughly impressed from start to finish. Lovely location just off the motorway so was easy to find with a big car park. Receptionist greeting was lovely - introduced herself as Mai which I thought was a nice touch. Restaurant was very busy and nice atmosphere. Decoration was nice - modern and stylish. Food - simply stunning. The best thai food I've ever eaten. So fresh and well presented. I had the steamed salmon and my partner had beef kra pow (stir fry). Both tasted delicious. We shared a dessert platter which was delicious (my partner had to finish it as I was stuffed!) All in all the best thai restaurant I've ever been to, and now my fave restaurant in Yorkshire. Kop khun ka Malagor!

I have frequented Arkaans from the day they opened, I've had the pleasure to watch the business thrive and have to say that it's progressed from good to excellent. The atmosphere is brilliant and the staff fall over each other to make sure a good time is had by all. I've read some really grumpy reviews that refer to beer swilling cool box carrying groups of people and rowdiness, well! how do most people let their hair down after a stressful working week? those of you critics that want a fine dining intimate experience, stay at home with your pipe n slipper or get on line n look for a place more suited to your needs. Arkaans deserves the five star reviews that many customers have given and I, my family and friends wish Baz and his staff all the best for a successful future and many more years doing what they do fantastically - serving good food at affordable prices and most of all helping everyone have a great time! good on ya Baz, you're a great guy!!!

I live in nearby Horbury and was really pleased to see a Thai restaurant open nearby. I was however, worried that a restaurant nestled in the suburbs of Ossett might not be as good as the Thai restaurants I am used to visiting in Leeds. I was very pleased to find that Malagor uphold fantastic standards and serves beautiful food. Within a month of opening, Malagor grew popular enough with locals to mean you couldn't just turn up and hope for a table, a reservation was vital. As we found to our disappointment when just turning up one Saturday night. I've now eaten at Malagor 3 times and can say it easily matches its more well established competitors in Leeds and has saved me driving 30 miles to get a great Thai!
