Fantastic food and friendly service

Fabulous Sunday lunch last weekend. Both the lamb and beef were delicious and a lovely big portion of meat. Came with all the usual accompaniments which were also well cooked. Will defo return when next visiting the area.

Setting is lovely and they put us in a nice quiet corner. Good points are that the staff were lovely and tried to be helpful, although all very young, and the food was okay and came out quickly Bad points, quite overpriced for the portions and quality of some of the food. £18 for a bog standard curry is a bit ridiculous. They had ran out of quite a few things and when asked about some of the allergy foods the staff weren't fully confident in some of their answers. No allergen menu. Some of the food was a bit chewy and dry as we were there towards the end of the day it was obviously not fresh. Staff started moving furniture round whilst we were still in the dining room and it was very loud and disturbing. They should have either waited for us to be finished or lift the furniture instead of scraping it loud across the floors while people are talking.

Visited with friends - Had a meal one evening and then a Sunday roast lunch. Food and service was excellent both times. Hope to come again when we’re in the area.

We came across The Victoria arms by chance , we decided to book a table for the following evening . We were not disappointed , the food was delicious , excellent quality and very generous portions too. We enjoyed our meals so much we booked for the following day too. Staff had the right balance of friendliness and professionalism. Will definitely visit again when we are in the area ..

This is an amazing licensed premises I wish there were more around the country like the Vic. The food is brilliant and the staff so helpful. I cannot praise this establishment to much. To all concerned well done you will always get my trade

Booked early evening to avoid the usual rush. Our table was ready and food was served promptly after ordering and proved to be excellently prepared and tasty.

On holiday for week in area, popped in for lunch. Cracking meal and great service. A lovely place and good beer garden/play area for youngsters.

One of the nicest pubs I've been in - flowing river - real old wood -great gazebo - food lovely and specials imaginative - even liked your pond - I want one but my garden is too small.

We were staying in the area, and decided to book a table for Sunday lunch. The meal was, quite simply sublime! I had cream of mushroom soup starter, which as the wife put it “that would have been enough for me”, which was really flavourful, served with a generous portion of bread and plenty of butter. Mains were even better; we both decided on lamb roast dinners, and they didn’t disappoint! Again, generous portions as well, but clean plates all round! The only disappointment was dessert…they had just run out of the crumble that the wife had set her heart on! However the sticky toffee pudding almost made up for this, with huge wedges of pudding arriving with lashings of custard in a separate jug to add as you wished. All in all, can highly recommend, and we are looking forward to visiting again very soon!

Hi, yes, we were happy with the Service and the food. One slight issue we asked for water for the dog and the kind lady brought a bowl of water for the dog ,but when the food was served, we asked if we could have water, we were told to go to the bar even though our food was on the table and there was a queue at the bar, Except we’re not used to having Heat waves in this country and water is not a priority at the table. Other than that excellent service under the circumstances on a bank holiday weekend and a heat wave. We will come back Hopefully in cooler times.

Every year we book at least 3 weeks in advance for our Sunday lunch, we come from Northampton to stay with family in Talsarnau, we arrive on the Saturday and without fail on the Sunday we are at the Vic, amazing food, incredible atmosphere, beautiful settings and the beer is always spot on! Thank you and see you again soon

Food was excellent 5 stars ⭐️

We had two meals at lunchtime. Both were without doubt the best pub food we have had for a long time. The staff were friendly and helpful and the pub looks great. We will be back to eat - and stay.

Visiting family in Llandanwg. We had two meals in the Victoria Inn. The food was absolutely fabulous We had the roast lamb on Sunday and the beef bourgeon on Wednesday. The meat is quality and cooked to perfection and a great choice of veggies. Top class food at very reasonable prices. We will definitely make a point of going again.
