Sadly to say the meal was disappointing, a glass of non- alcoholic wine which cost £5.90 and tasted awful. The food was very ordinary and no little freebie extras like bread or olives.

Very Polite staff, food was fast and perfect as always. Very clean and covid precautions followed. Asked for a certain area to eat in booking and they sorted it.

Great food and very good service using the app. All arrived quickly even though they were busy. Only negative is the flies and ants within the conservatory area where we ate. I understand the need to open windows and doors but excessive flies and ant swatting does spoil a meal. We did notice others swatting the flies away. Such a shame as the food and staff were perfect

I have been using this pub since the mid 1960s when it was known as the White Lion, privately owned by Michael and Erica ( forgotten their surname ) In those days it was purely, as many others were, simply a drinking pub. A restaurant was added in the 70s/80s we even had our wedding reception there. Today it is still a great venue, good food at affordable prices, and a huge choice. We felt very safe under the present circumstances, tables well spaced, excellent service, and polite staff.

We have been desperate to come back here for a while it’s always been a firm favourite for food!! During lockdown we had our first child and obviously with the restrictions we couldn’t go but we went on the 29th May and the staff were exceptional as always! The manager was awesome! It was also my very first time ordering steak whilst out and it was AMAZING! It was just everything we wanted for our first ever meal as a family of 3! Made our weekend! Thank you to the team at The Old Smithy!

Love it here, great little pub out the way with everyone friendly. Used the app to order and the drinks came out soon after so very quick service. Only down point was our food was over cooked rather than other times but that's the first time out of many visits

Completely wonderful evening, with beautiful, fragrant, authentic flavours. The room was spacious with customers well spaced out, so you felt 100% safe. I met up with a friend and the whole evening was just lovely. We felt very well looked after. There was so much gorgeous food to choose from, we decided to share 6 starter dishes and they catered for my allergies. They even warmed up one dish for us, that is usually served cold. The service was lovely, helpful, friendly but not over fussy, exactly spot on. the bill came in at less than I thought, so even that was great. I am definitely a fan now and am returning next week with my sister. Thank you to Aqua. Loved it!

Manager lovely we were greeted and taken care of by him, his staff on the other hand really need to cheer up faces and attitudes like wet weekends,food was ok wasn’t that impressed I was given all the hype that the food was amazing my steak was like a old boot and still mooing asked for no blood came out like a Murder scene tried don’t think will try again

Came on Monday with my husband and son,great meal as always,we were all happy.lady that served us was very attentive so service was good,shame about the older lady though walking about,always looks miserable and everything is an effort if you ask anything but other than that we were happy

I had a meal with my partner and we were very impressed, the food was really nice and the staff we brilliant always checking we had everything we needed, but not too much that it gets annoying. There was a nice friendly atmosphere to the place. Will definitely be returning

Disappointing visit to be honest. Not a warm welcome at all. Service terribly slow and staff gave us the impression they didn't want to be there and even ordering drinks felt like an inconvenience. Good was ok, not overly hot. Disappointed as previous visits had been nice.

Excellent food, very good quality and value for money Waiter was helpful and jovial. Atmosphere is poor.
