The Curzon Arms is under new management, i popped in there for a meal on my way back to Nuneaton after a long day out in Burton. The carvery was very good and i shall not hesitate to return the staff were very polite and helpful.

I visited The Bowling Green in Southam one Saturday evening, and found the food very good, and at a price that would suit anybodies budget. They do a Carvery each Sunday too, which I will most definitely try one weekend. All in all an excellent place to eat with very pleasant staff, and polite waitresses.

Sorrento Restaurant in Stratford upon Avon is a little gem. We found this lovely restaurant just off the High St in the Town centre. The food is all cook fresh as you can tell by the beautiful aroma coming from the kitchen. I had the calves liver which just melted in my mouth. My partner had scallops and king prawns in garlic butter. everything is presented with a smile from the efficient waiting staff. We sat in the garden for coffee. I would recommend to anyone wanting good food in a beautiful restaurant at a realistic price. *****

The Arnold has had a fair few changes of landlord over recent years however the restaurant itself is comfortable, clean and the table/seating arrangement is good as you don't find yourself sitting 'on top of' other diners. The food, traditional pub grub mainly and usually a Sunday carvery, has ranged from fair to very good - it depends on who the landlord/chef has been at the time. There is no food available at present as the pub is being run temporarily by the head barman (following the sudden departure of the previous landlords) who knows the job and the regulars inside out. I can't praise him highly enough for his knowledge of the job, his service, and his unfailing cheerfulness and politeness. He is also a font of knowledge and comes in very useful when you are stuck on the last two clues when doing the crossword in one of the many daily papers provided by the pub!

My husband is vegetarian so its quite hard to find somewhere nice to eat where we both enjoy our meals. Greek food is one of our favourites as it usually leaves us both satisfied. Our first visit for Tarsus was a very enjoyable one. The menu at the venue and the web page is not the same but we did have a starter we had never tried before, IMAMBAYILDI. It's probably the best starter we have ever had, made of aubergines is was something we could share and it was sooooo flavoursome I could have eaten it again. Next I had Firin Kebab, absolutely wonderful, hubby had SPANAKOPITA which was equally as delicious. I was full but hubby still had room in his desert belly and had baklava which was huge and was different to all the other baklava's we've tried, you have to taste it - it's lush. You can sit at the bar and peruse the menu to your leisure and at weekends there's entertainment. The service is a bit slow but who cares when the food is so fantastic (when i say slow, ten minutes between starter and main). We are definitely returning, there's so much on the menu we haven't tried before.

A MUST VISIT!! Stumbled across The Punch Bowl last week with my husband and three kids. After a tiring 3 hours round Warwick Castle we were looked after by Suzanne & the brilliant Chef. They were children friendly, the food was absolutely fantastic and service impeccable. Try the lemon sole ! Will highly recommend this pub.

Came here on recommendation, and I must say this is the best experience I've ever had in a Indian restaurant. The moment I entered, was greeted so warmly, then sat down in lounge and not rushed, very good professional team in this place. We had lots of food and it was just spot on. I'm proud to have a Restaurant like this our town.

Excellent restaurant. This place is really good value for money, I go there about once a week and I have never had a bad meal. The staff are very friendly and the food quality is always excellent. Stayed in the hotel a few times too, very nice comfortable beds and pleasant to stay in.

Myself and few friends visited the curzon arms after a day out on our motorbikes and we where ready for a good meal. We were not disappointed, i went for the lamb kleftico which was as good as any you would find abroad. My friends opted for fillet steaks all of which were cooked to perfection and had the added bonus of homemade chips. We will definitely be back after our next outing on the bikes.

Dining experience Saturday 23rd march 2008: now managed by the chap from the Malt Shovel in Barston & a website with great customer feedback should have been a precursor to great things but what a terrible experience. Seated promptly but then had to wait 15 minutes for drinks to be served and then another 15 minutes to have our food order taken. Waitress displayed no knowledge of the menu or specials (more of that later)or experience in serving customers. Starters arrived spasmodically and due to the wait were swiftly eaten. Another 20 minutes and the mains finally arrive with one being completely the wrong dish and cold. The other was simply a pork chop (over cooked) with red onions - no vegetables/potatoes. When question I was advised that the menu tells you what you get, so no input from waiting staff is required to "up sell" the extras. Wrong dish was replaced and removed from bill. We were actually served by four different waiting staff including the manager which took a total of two and half hours for 2 people. Weird thing was the four people sitting next to us were wined, dined a eating pudding in an hour and a half, while we struggled to get a second round of drinks between courses - perhaps they telephoned their order beforehand! I was assured that the service would improve on my next visit - we will see. Food - borderline pedestrian, Service - risible = 2/10

Great restaurant with great food, the dodgy music could do with changing but that's the only slight negative I could find... Enjoy!

Since writing my original review back in 2005 the restaurant has been refurbished but still retains all of it's charms, now with addition of a first floor gallery, yet the prices haven't gone up, the service is still impeccable and the food is still the best you will taste anywhere outside Bradford. The take aways are still as good as the eat-ins. Most of all and thankfully the music still goes bong bong pip!
