I've been to the LongShoot numerous times now. The self service carvery was very good, and the two for £10 weekday deal was real value for money. The staff are all well presented and courteous. The food was all very good and is even worth the normal £8.50 per head on a weekend. The only thing I missed was mashed potato. Access to the LongShoot is very easy with ample parking. All in all I would recommend this place to anyone.

Wonderful menu! Unbelievably good fish! The sea bass green masala (on a bed of spinach) and the fish tandoori starter (trout) are just unbeatable. The best restaurant food we have ever tasted. Dr. Ian and Mrs Deborah MacIntyre, Rugby.

This was a dreadful eating experience. I went with a large mixed party and there were over 20 of us but although we had booked well in advance it took over an hour for our starter to arrive. Although the Kalamari that i ordered was nice it was nothing special and there was not a lot for the £4.95 that it cost although it was attractively served in a little silver pail. The penne della casa was just bacon chicken mushroom and spinach mingling with some overbaked around the edges penne pasta and was absolutely swimming in olive oil. It was bland and boring even with loads of parmesan cheese grated over the top. Other diners were complaining about the pizza (or lack of it) : the toppings were none existent and the base boring, tough and uninspiring. Not a good eating experience and I would not recommend visiting.

peppers has lost its touch, it was a great restaurant but now the food and service has gone down the drain...I think other places such as the Kwarn Thai, Balti Cottage and The Studley Spice have taken over good quality food in Studley. Sorry to all the guys at peppers but your food is just no good.

wow! i went with my mum on mothers day to studley spice and i was amazed by the service and food that was on offer. The food was worth every penny and the service was out of this world, i could not believe the fact that the waiter who served us even knew my primary school teacher! me and my mum and dad had a great night out. It was very busy so its best to book to avoid disappointment. One last thing i must say is that don't take my word for it just try it! I'm from Birmingham and it only took me 2o mins on the A435 to get there, its not as far as some may think! it was brilliant! im going again on friday!

This is definitely the best restaurant in warwick, with outstanding value for money, and a kitchen that really knows how to cook. Maybe warwickshire deserves another Michelin star.

We have just returned from a meal at the almanack most disappointed, not because of the food, but because of the terrible manners of the manager. The restaurant itself is lovely, beautifully decorated and welcoming. The waitress who served us was also very polite and pleasant. We had a voucher which entitled us to a starter and main course for £12.50 each which we felt was a great offer. We looked at the menu and saw that the starters were available in large or small and this obviously effected the price of the starter. However, nothing was mentioned in the small print on the voucher about whether or not opting for a large starter would mean that we were unable to take advantage of the promotion. therefore, we clarified this with our waitress. she told us that we could have a large starter as this would still comply with the promotion. Therefore my partner ordered a large starter and a main. She returned to tell us that his choice of main had ran out so he made another choice. This had also ran out so he settled for his third choice! The food was of great quality, I had opted for the roast beef and it was very tender if not a little undercooked for my taste. However we were happy with the food and surroundings and said that we would happily recommend the restaurant to our friends. Then the bill arrived. The promotion said that we had 2 courses for 12.50 each, therefore the bill sould according to my calculation have amounted to £25.00 plus the price of our drinks which was £6.60, a total of £31.60. The bill however stated that we owed 36.60 so we had obviously been charged extra for the large starter. As the waitress had told us that this wouldn't be the case, we queried the bill. She went and spoke to the manager who came over to us. We explained to him the situation and he rolled his eyes and said "You ordered the large starter so its reflected in the price" we explained that we had been told by the waitress that we would not be charged extra and he said "But it's quite self explanatory in the menu" As i have already mentioned there was nothing in the terms and conditions which made this explicit. We said this and he snatched the bill from my boyfriends hand and stormed off to the till. We were disgusted and shocked. I went to the bar as I was so embarrassed by what he had done in front of other diners. I said to him we would just pay what we owed as we wanted to leave immediately. I told him that he was so rude and a disgrace to the restaurant. He argued and said that he was not rude and he wanted to get the version of events from his staff. He snatched my money from my hands and gave me my correct change. I would not dine at this establishment again because of his terrible hostility and manners. What a shame as the restaurant really is a lovely place to dine for a special occasion. I will not be recommending this place to anyone, as I left feeling insulted and humiliated.

We went to the Stag & Pheasant for Sunday dinner this week, we had a party of 12 & didn't know if they would be able to accommodate all of us in one sitting at such short notice. I have to say the service of the staff was second to none, they rearranged the seating for us to all sit together, when the food arrived we were all gobsmacked at the size!!. It was lovely all fresh ingredients none of that prepacked rubbish you get at some places, well recommended. We will definitely be going again and ive booked up for next month.

I visited The Bowling Green in Southam one Saturday evening, and found the food very good, and at a price that would suit anybodies budget. They do a Carvery each Sunday too, which I will most definitely try one weekend. All in all an excellent place to eat with very pleasant staff, and polite waitresses.

Sorrento Restaurant in Stratford upon Avon is a little gem. We found this lovely restaurant just off the High St in the Town centre. The food is all cook fresh as you can tell by the beautiful aroma coming from the kitchen. I had the calves liver which just melted in my mouth. My partner had scallops and king prawns in garlic butter. everything is presented with a smile from the efficient waiting staff. We sat in the garden for coffee. I would recommend to anyone wanting good food in a beautiful restaurant at a realistic price. *****

The Arnold has had a fair few changes of landlord over recent years however the restaurant itself is comfortable, clean and the table/seating arrangement is good as you don't find yourself sitting 'on top of' other diners. The food, traditional pub grub mainly and usually a Sunday carvery, has ranged from fair to very good - it depends on who the landlord/chef has been at the time. There is no food available at present as the pub is being run temporarily by the head barman (following the sudden departure of the previous landlords) who knows the job and the regulars inside out. I can't praise him highly enough for his knowledge of the job, his service, and his unfailing cheerfulness and politeness. He is also a font of knowledge and comes in very useful when you are stuck on the last two clues when doing the crossword in one of the many daily papers provided by the pub!
