Our favourite place for a great Sunday Lunch. This week we both had the slow cooked shoulder of lamb which was excellent.

The Royal Oak Watford Heath – WatfordUnfortunately poor service. Server took the wrong order and when we politely asked for this to be corrected the exact quote was 'The kitchen is too busy so you will have to have this. Plus you have already started it.' It had been tasted (a tiny bite) to see if we would have been happy with it rather than what was ordered. It was not very nice and the ordered dish would have been preferred. No apology or solution was given other than just eat what you have been given. We were then treated as if we had been rude and made a scene. We felt very unwelcome and rushed throughout the visit, even prior to this. We shall not be returning.
The Prince George – WatfordVery lucky to have this pub as my local. Fantastic food, lovely cozy atmosphere and very attentive staff. I will continue to go back again and again and again.
The Royal Oak Watford Heath – WatfordHad drinks and food in the sun yesterday. As before the food was of high standard. The calamari was the best we have had lovely and fresh and not frozen rings as you get elsewhere. The chicken wings are to die for. Highly recommend for eaters bag and drinking. Staff are always happy and very accommodating. Keep it up guys
The Prince George – WatfordLovely pub especially on a sunny day. The staff work very hard to keep everyone happy, always with a smile and a suggestion on food and drinks. Good menu with something for everyone and the food was great. Imaginative and tasty.
The Royal Oak Watford Heath – WatfordWe have eaten here many times and have never had a bad meal. The food is always really good and the menu is very varied. I love the transformation with the car park area now a covered seating area and this has also increased the number of customers which is great for them. The staff are all really good. Very friendly and efficient. They are good with their Covid rules. Masks have to be worn if you’re walking around. Always our first choice for an evening out

Ebb-Tide Fish and Chips – WatfordA Great little find, The Load of Hay at Watford Heath is a real friendly local pub, a mixed crowd, friendly staff that enjoy working there. traditional pub food, home cooked and at traditional pub prices. Nothing fancy. If your bored on a Monday night try out the quiz night, £60 for the winning team when we went.
