Warm welcome, fabulous food and amazing service. A hidden gem of Wells! We would highly recommend!

As always a warm welcome and delicious food from the team at Goodfellows- our favourite restaurant in Wells mainly because of the relaxed atmosphere and beautifully cooked and presented dishes.

We had lunch in the restaurant and the food was up to Goodfellow’s usual high standard. We didn’t have wine with our meal, so I am unable to comment on their current wine list. The service was good, if a little rushed and while it is great to be able to watch the food being prepared, the decor is getting a little dated. Overall, a very good experience and we will return.

Excellent food and wine. Friendly and gently efficient service. One suggestion … table cloths on the Formica tables would add a more special feel…less cafe and more of the ‘quality restaurant’ vibe that the place deserves

Absolutely fabulous evening to catch up with a friend. We had the carpaccio of tuna to share then scollops and sea bass, then finished with affogato and a coffee. Everything was prepared and served really nicely and all the food was delicious. The portions were really well sized, not overwhelming at all.

Another triumphant performance from Adam, Renaud and the team on Saturday - as always delighting the eye as well as the palate, particularly the scallops which were the best he's ever given us. The bill was far too small but that is the only problem I ever have with this lovely restaurant

Excellent food service and wine ! We have not been for 4 years due to a house move but have previously been regulars Our friends were first timers abd local wanting to return soon. Whilst we had missed the place and so due to a double celebration splashed out 90 pounds on champagne plus a good wine there was no acknowledgement of my birthday or my friends promotion. In days gone by there woukd have been chocolate truffles in a box. So missed a truck here on the service front .

the meal was just perfect, so tasty and beautifully presented through our all three courses. The service was professional and our waiter was knowledgeable about both the food and wine. We were so well looked after from the very start of the ecvening to our departure. A big thank you to the Goodfellows team. best wishes

By far the best meal we have had out in ages. Fabulous food and really great friendly and attentive service! We particularly appreciated the warm reception and attention given to our 9-year old son who was with us. We will definitely go again and highly recommend to others.

As always the food was exceptionally good, but the attention paid was exceptional. We were offered another table away from a particularly noisy party where I could hear my friends properly. I suffer from acute deafness. Congratulations to all!

I’m a big fan of Goodfellows. Everything is excellent - the Staff are very friendly and helpful and the food is exceptional. As good as any Michelin starred place without the exorbitant prices. A sensible small menu which caters for everyone - and the deserts! Last visit I just had to have two they are so good

This is one of the most consistently high quality places we have ever eaten in Just brilliant and fantastic value And the fish and duck is excellent

Had a lovely Saturday night meal here. High quality of cooking at reasonable prices. We had reservations about table spacing re Covid before we booked, but all was fine. We’d eat here again this year. We liked the presentation too.
