Enjoyed a really delicious Saturday lunch at the Olive Tree.....Every thing beautifully cooked. Wish I lived nearer I would visit weekly

A very nice meal for two. We both had an excellent beef carpaccio starter followed by, respectively, seared scallops and smoked trout both excellent. I had an excellent pear tart with bleckcurrant sorbet. Would definately return if in Wells.

Four of us booked here for an evening meal. Service was excellent - attentive but unobtrusive - and the food equally good. Only weakness was we were all vegetarians and one of the veggie starters (mushrooms) had all gone* so choice was very limited. *It was the Cathedral’s fault - Evensong went on too long and another diner beat us to it!

Had dinner here on Saturday night for the first time and will definitely be back. Great atmosphere and the food was one of the best meals we've eaten for a while. The sauces with both the entree and mains were delicious. Good value for money.

Excellent Sunday lunch

My husband & I had a fabulous meal at The Olive Tree. Food is always fresh, beautifully presented & good value for money. The Vegan Risotto was amazing. Good choice of wines to complement the food. There is a really nice atmosphere in the restaurant, not too many tables which is nice. Staff are super friendly, pleasant & helpful. It is always our favourite restaurant & cannot fault it. Always recommend to friends & family & look forward to returning.

Superb food, Beef Carpaccio, Chicken Supreme with seasonal veg, dauphinoise potato, honey carrots and cheese board. Very good price, friendly service

First time at this restaurant, the staff were very atentive providing an excellent service the food was exceptional. All in all we will recommend The Olive Tree to everyone.

Last night we had the most fantastic meal. The food was fabulous & the service excellent. Well worth a visit.

Lovely setting, atmosphere and food. Staff were very friendly. Were able to accommodate me last minute due to my error. We weren't disappointed food was really tasty.

As on previous visits the food was superb, beautifully presented, wonderful and imaginative flavours, the starter & main course was as always precisely judged as to flavour & visual effect but the sweet which followed, pear tart with blackcurrant sorbet and a maple, thyme & berry sauce lifted the whole meal into a totally higher realm. Praise to the staff also, helpful , pleasant & attentive at all times.

Another excellent meal at the Olive Tree. Great food, good value, lovely ambience and friendly service. Always enjoy the meals at the Olive Tree and looking forward to returning again and trying something different from the menu.

Lovely welcoming atmosphere and very good service. Attractive menu and stunning presentation of food, but portion size inadequate, particularly for the set two - course lunch chicken salad. Necessary to order extras.

A pleasant venue and excellent service at sensible prices. We were there for lunch and the two-course special menu was very good value. The food was delicious. Only one caveat - one of our party is diabetic and needed some bread with her meal. We were warned that there would be an extra charge but £2.40 for four small slices did seem a lot.

The service was friendly and quick; the food was delicious and very hot. The dauphinoise potatoes were incredible and I highly recommend people choose their main meal around having that as a side. I would definitely come back next time I'm in Wells.
