Utterly delicious meal at Goodfellows last Saturday. Literally could not fault any part of it in terms of flavour - and it was all beautifully presented. My sea bass main course was the best sea bass I've ever tasted.

The food was absolutely excellent. We could sense the real French influence. Classic French standards yet with an imaginative modern twist. This guy really know how to cook! The atmosphere was also really nice. Pleasant buzz but one could hear oneself speak, such a pleasure for those of us used to noisy London restaurants

We had lunch last Saturday from the Market Menu - every course was really tasty, beautifully presented and excellent value. Our hake with linguini was cooked superbly - as tasty as any meal we have had in France or London. The service was refined and smooth. Highly recommended.

We visited on Friday 13th August and what a fantastic meal. We took a very close friend for her birthday surprise and we were not disappointed far from it. Our family friend has eaten in some extremely high class Michelin star restaurants and we just wanted to eat locally but with some nice food. The scallops and i quote “were the best she had ever eaten” but it didn’t stop there, every course was beautifully presented with superbly balance flavours to complemented the fish and never overpowered it., my wife especially loved salmon & spring rolls. The berry desert was fantastic also as was the service from the sommelier who mad our evening memorable. We ate at 7.30 and left at 10.50pm, we will return soon.

I can't imagine why it has taken us so long to return to Goodfellows! The food and service had always been good but they were both superlative on Friday night. Every mouthful of the beautifully presented dishes was a delight!

We have been coming here since it opened and it has never disappointed Food is fantastic the scallops are a must so is the duck confit . Wines are great and excellent value as is the service This is one of the most consistent paces we have eaten in anywhere

As visitors to the area we were recommended to this restaurant and are very happy to have been there. Gazpacho soup served with cray fish was really special and our fish main courses excellent. All served by polite and efficient French staff; the entente cordiale is alive and well in Wells if not elsewhere!

Very pleasant meal at goodfellows. Starter of scallops - excellent very well cooked and tasted exquisite Duck confit for main. Very good tasted great, good portion size Prices appropriate with the good quality dining Could be considered as the best in wells Would recommend u go there

What a fabulous meal! Truly we were so pleasantly surprised to find such a gem in the small town of Wells. Every dish was expertly prepared by proprietor himself! Every dish was plated exquisitely. We marvelled how this Michelin standard food could come out of the kitchen with only one person doing it all! sophisticated cooking at its best. We were lucky enough to be seated opposite the kitchen so we could see the intelligence and care that went into dish after dish. Highly recommended

I never come away from this restaurant dissatisfied. Food is always excellent and presented beautifully. Just wish it was nearer to home so that I could visit weekly. I have eaten in quite a few Michelin star restaurants and the food at Goodfellows compares very favourably. Love watching the Chefs cook and serve their lovely recipes. The bill is always a pleasant surprise. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

We had Sunday lunch. The tables are well spaced the food was delicious the service was good and relaxed. We must think of more reasons to come to Wells!

A great place to meet friends and family with lovely atmosphere (what are those graceful orchids?) Market Menu lunch superb and a total bargain: gazpacho with fresh crab was full of flavour, superb seabass with duxelles, and mango mousse - other dishes we hadn't chosen looked similarly delicious. Fabulous execution and presentation. Will definitely return.

As always an excellent meal with attentive, friendly service. Our favourite restaurant in the area - Adam is such an accomplished chef putting together such tasty menus and Martine and Renaud manage front of house so efficiently. Don’t hesitate to try this restaurant.

A really good meal last night - beautifully cooked and beautifully presented. So great to see that the one and only really good restaurant in Wells is back up and running and attracting customers again. Such quality is not found everywhere and should be supported

Fantastic food, service, location and ambience. Great for a lunch and can’t wait to go back, hopefully an evening meal next time. Menu was great. Smallish menu, but all the better for it.
