Was greeted warmly on arrival and made welcome. Great choice of food and not rushed between courses. It’s our local so intend to try out more often!

Chestfield Barn – WhitstableI’ve been going to this very pleasant pub for my dinner break only having two pints . But looked at menu & thought would be a lovely place to take the wife for spot of lunch . So I did this Saturday & was not disappointed great food. Good service . Definitely visit again
Chestfield Barn – WhitstableGreat avocado and prawn salad. Lovely venue and friendly helpful staff.
Chestfield Barn – WhitstableVery good service, value for money an excellent Sunday roast, definitely will return, especially as we can walk to the Barn, an added perk.
Chestfield Barn – WhitstableLovely welcome and great service. My partner had the cod loin which was delicious but small portion. However I had the pasta Marinara which was completely tasteless In a watery tomato sauce. Unfortunately some of the dishes on the main menu we’re not available. Not sure that we will be back.
Chestfield Barn – WhitstableHaving been recommended to the Chestfield Barn we previously had visited there for lunch , we loved it and all was great. A very attractive venue with a nice feel to it. A year later we booked for an evening meal, upon arrival the staff were very welcoming and our waiter was working for his 1st shift , he was very pleasant and helpful. We had starters and main course, the food was lovely however after we had finished eating our main meal it seemed that we had been forgotten about. We sat waiting for more than half an hour , watching the staff leaving , including our waiter, the staff were laying tables for the next day and chatting behind the bar. All the staff were walking around yawning and it was only 9pm. It seemed that they had completely forgotten us. In the end we had to call someone over, it made us feel as if we just wanted to leave. We feel very disappointed as the food was lovely …
Chestfield Barn – WhitstableHaving tried out all the Sunday lunches in various pubs between lockdowns, The Barn had the best Sunday Lunch; Plentiful meat, a variety of vegetables with speedy service. The lemon roulade is like a double portion. As it’s outside the hubbub, I have never had trouble booking a table. Cauliflower cheese would make it perfect ❤️
Chestfield Barn – WhitstableFirst time at Chestfield Barn, as I had heard great things. On arrival we were a bit disappointed the tables were very close together, I could hear the conversation of the couple next to us. The not so dirty fries I had were okay , but not a lot of cheese and wasn’t expecting the chilli, as it’s not mentioned on the menu. My friend had the fish & chips, but the batter was overdone with a thin piece of cod. The end piece was a solid lump of overdone batter. All in all a disappointing meal. The waitress however was very friendly and helpful. Not sure we’ll be returning.
Chestfield Barn – WhitstableStaff were very friendly but food took ages
Chestfield Barn – WhitstableNot local, but booked on a whim as a convenient location for a Sunday lunch when visiting relatives in Kent. Turned out to be a very good decision as the food and service were both excellent and the bar served a well kept pint of Master Brew (rather than the seemingly ubiquitous Spitfire in most Shepherd Neame places these days). The building itself was pretty interesting and characterful. I can strongly recommend this establishment and would definitely visit again when in the area.
Chestfield Barn – WhitstableGreat food and venue, friendly and helpful staff.
Chestfield Barn – WhitstableReally enjoyed a family meal. Had the steak and ale pie which was so filling. Definitely going to go back and try the Sunday roast.
Chestfield Barn – WhitstableReally enjoyed the meal. Great menu and "Filthy Fries" were wonderful, if a little over-spiced for me but that's personal choice. Delicious Sundaes for after. Service good and friendly too.
Chestfield Barn – WhitstableHad a great Sunday lunch and great service
Chestfield Barn – WhitstableΙt wasn't the best meal we had at Chest field barn! The food was dry and not up to the standards we were expecting.
Chestfield Barn – WhitstableService great Ambience good Was very quiet but it was a Monday evening, Portions of food very generous but steak a little tougher than normal. Beer well kept.
Chestfield Barn – WhitstableExcellent Sunday Lunch, although local we had not visited for a while due to pandemic and all things associated but realised what we missed and will be back soon. Great starters and a lovely roast with variety of vegetables made us finish off with a sweet, typically a two course only couple :-) Healthy banter with both Louise and Lisa whilst serving added to the enjoyment although all the staff were excellent. Be back soon !
Chestfield Barn – WhitstableGreat evening meal on Sunday thought the waitress could have had more knowledge about the meal. Relaxed atmosphere very generous portions. Efficient booking system online would recommend
